Re: Robert "Sugar Bear" Jackson and the Crip Walk
Hey, I had some info for Alonso related to this but I never got it to him so I'll just post it here. This was told to me by a guy from L.A. on another forum: yea it was sugar bear, sugar bear was apart of the original crips, the hood he came from was called Grandee Crips, real old crip gang that die...

One of the baddest Rappers to ever pick up a mike, and a freestyle beast- Luducris- Heard him flow freestyle several times, and I would put him up against anybody. He was one of the few who appeared on Rap City and actually freestyled. I don't really listen to the east coast underground rappers or ...

Going by his song "Hunnit" it seems that he's from Eight-Tray Gangster. He makes reference to throwing "tre" instead of "deuces" and Manchester.

Crip Walk
What are the origins of the Crip Walk? I have seen CJ Mac's documentary that was released in 2003 but he didn't have any specifics as far who or what set started it. However, it was said that it dates back to the '70's. Also, Tookie's memoir Blue Rage, Black Redemption and the American Gangster epis...

Neighborhood Crips
I don't know if this has been covered before since I can't enter the other Crips subforums, but I wonder how did the name "Neighborhood Crips" originate? When did sets such as the 60's, 40's, 90's, 111, 62 and 89 East Coast and others begin to identify as such? That's an interesting name for a gang.

I studied Goju Ryu for a few years when I was a kid but I hardly remember any of it. My favorite martial art would be kung fu and I had a cousin who studied when he was younger. Another style that piques my interest is Muay Thai, which is no joke from what I hear.
