Re: Trinidad Iglesias from Florence 13

Trinidad "Trini" Iglesias was never recruited into the Mexican Mafia. He was a validated close associate of several Mexican Mafia members while at San Quentin in the 1970's.

Correction: Dopey Dan was killed in 1968, not 1970. Baby Alvarez was convicted in 1970.

Re: Top 10 Most Famous Aryan Brotherhood Members

On March 4, 1971, Yogi stabbed Officer Robert McCarthy through the tray slot at Soledad's old X-Wing facility, ramming a toothbrush through the officer's eye and mortally wounding him. I think one can guess CDCR personnel probably grieved very little at the demise of Yogi Pinell.

Re: Top 10 Most Famous Aryan Brotherhood Members

Unless someone has a name and incident to cite, there is only one Mexican Mafia member to die at the hands of a rival prison gang. His name is Rudy "Cheyenne" Cadena and he perished in Palm Hall in December 1972 at the hands of the Nuestra Familia. "Dopey Dan" was stabbed to death in Soledad in 1970...

Re: Top ten Mexican Mafia snitches

I suppose this Top 10 List of Snitches makes for interesting conversation, right up there with people asking which is the baddest prison gang of all time? Agree with Bumperjack's observations when he states "them all" who defect and debrief. The MM certainly does not give out trophies for the "Top 1...

Re: THE ORIGINAL 13 = MARAVILLA

One of the only reason why HMV was the one who led it to power or had a lot of members was because HMV was the one with the best hook up for product and connections. Because if it doesn't make "cents" than it doesn't make "dollars". Actually, it was the Hawaiian Gardens boys ("Huero Buff" Flores and...

According to the book THE MEXICAN MAFIA ENCYCLOPEDIA, check out Chapter 19 Los Maravillosos , beginning on page 242. Not only does it reveal that between 1957 and 1973, 22 top dogs from the Maravilla gangs were recruited by the EME with 17 of them being from Hoyo Mara, their photos, true names, nic...

All the important characters will be covered and some (like DR and Babo) will probably have their own chapters a...

Re: Mexican mafia the Gang of Gangs

Bumperjack ..... You are spot on when it comes to your take on law enforcement people's accuracy. We are woefully limited in what we can bring to the table when talking about gang members. You have a personal belief in not purchasing ex-member's books and I copy that. Many of us would rather hear it...

Oh, and as for the Polish gentleman on your other thread, he sounds very un-American, doesn't he? Opinons are one thing but his goes out to left field. If you acknowledge, they keep it going. If you ignore (or get them DELETED), they go back to playing with their toys.

Evil is Evil so it almost doesn’t matter that the emulating groups – those who copy the AB and Mexican Mafia name – are NOT part of the California-spawned groups. For historical and training purposes, it is important to know there is indeed a difference. The prison gang template was first establishe...
