Re: sinaloa drug cartel vs lcn
Blah blah blah..... Why does this stupid question always come up? Who would win between this group and that group? People who actually study this stuff in depth know that it's very rare that two different organized crime groups (in terms of ethnicity) fight each other. They work with each other for ...

Re: John Gotti Racist against Blacks
Westside maybe you know. Was their ever a hit on Gotti jr over the fact the FBI was spreading rumors he cooperated? He seems quite nervous over the fact in the video I posted. He states the FBI was serving subpoenas and letting mafioso know he was the reason behind them being served. He seems to ha...

I hope the law catches up with this guy eventually. They tried numerous times over the last few years and failed, but hopefully they get him in the end. I just know the guy is dirty and has a lot of blood on his hands. And the way he's trying to cash in on the Gotti name is sickening. First his sis...

Anthony "Hickey" Dilorenzo, Louis Ruggiero, John Schenone, and John Bologna were all associates. Re: A Mafia Question
Obviously the Mafia doesn't release quarterly statements of it's finances, so there's really no way to know something like that. The Italian government and various "think tanks" have estimated the Mafia in Italy's worth at anywhere from 7-10% of the nation's GDP or 15% of it's GNP. In recent years w...

I should add that some articles have said the Genovese started requiring new members to undress as far back as 1989 after the Patriarca ceremony up in New England was bugged. And then you had George Freselone who bugged his own ceremony in the early 1990's. So I suppose the requirement to undress co...

Going back to the late 1980's and early 1990's, the Sicilian Mafia had formed ties to the Colombian cartels. And later the 'Ndrangheta as well. Most recently, back in September 2008 there was a huge bust of nearly 200 people, called "Project Reckoning," that involved the Gulf Cartel and 'Ndrangheta....

I think the problem comes from how the newer crime groups, including the Russians and Albanians, have been portrayed by the press; using terms like "Russian Mafia" and "Albanian Mafia." This, combined with quite a bit of initial overstatements by law enforcement itself regarding the threat level the...

Re: New Gang Land News article
the downsizing of the FBI squads has more to do with budget cuts and the reccession than the mob as a priority. It's both. I don't think the FBI needs to devote as many resources to the Mafia as it did in the 1980's and 1990's. But to cut it down to only 45 agents and combine squads seems a bit much.
