Anyone know how the Swans got their name?

If anybody on here saw the 1997 documentary called, "Prison Bound" had a pretty tough 59 crip interviewed.

He had a big 59 tattooed across his chest, was cut and was crazy dangerous.

This 59 was telling stories and remembering how he loved to "kick in up at 4800" the old crip module in County.

I don't really like the idea. there would have to be some drastic changes from the original. the idea of the original B movie was very unrealistic and dated. I don't like the idea and personally don't think Tony Scott is being very responsible in remaking it now in l.a. or doing the film any justice...

To answer the question, no bloods and no crips. there are
generic hispanic gang bangers but no real set or varrio.

A damn disappointment.

Coolest thing about it was the history of the gang.

I didn't know they started out as STONERS. Hangin' out smokin' mota and listenin' to heavy metal like some of the gangs of East Los did.

segregation in prison is a no brainer to me.
