LOL! I think that was the longest running thread on here. Can I re-post my pics or is that too annoying coming from me?

No!!! Please don't re-post the same pictures. This was a newly started thread for NEW pictures of hoods. You basically took up 5 pages of the last one.

And nah, that wasn't the longest running thread on here. There's been quite a few thats been LONNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG as hell.

My old neighbourhood of terraced houses behind the old football stadium, with the petrochemical factories in the distance. The houses are still here but the stadium has been demolished and relocated.

well I was told to not let threads get too long as the moderator, but I didn't know it would grow so fast.

One more of mine. A corner I see everyday.

This is the next neighbourhood near the one i posted picks of before (pics of your hood part I). Its similar housing but doesnt look half as bad...

I have to include the token alley, typical back yard for the 50% of our population what live in these type of dwellings.

Example of a home going for $3,250,000 ... just a few blocks away from the Echo Park gangs. You have to click on it.

I'm not going to waste my time copying and pasting everything so I'll give my comments directly.

Chini - I like the murals on the walls. Is that common? And that picture of the big house on the hill makes me think they are doing some sort of "king of the hill" mentality.

NW10 - Those pictures are a lot better at showing what you are talking about. Why are the alleys so small?

woah Chini that house was tight but i bet you dont get anything like that in Compton lol. The elite houses i posted are about the best it gets in my home town with the most expensive homes in town costing £250-300,000 and the cheapest going for £10-20,000. Althought it is one of the 10 most deprived towns in Britain.

Dr Funky those alleys are small cos the homes were built before cars were common or even invented? (1850's housing, dunno when cars came about). Also the homes had to be built as tight and close together as possible to house all the working class near their workplace. They couldnt afford to commute from the suburbs so needed to be close to work as possible.

i.e. Corrus Steel Plant employs something like 4000 people and thats just one factory but it would have employed more in the past before deindustrialisation occurred.

People still live close to factories now though, its why we have so many health problems. The houses on these pics arent the terraced ones though

Housing in the west of town close to petrochemical factories

L.A. is really into murals, and we have a lotta artists in Echo, so we have a lot of murals. I just wish the taggers would get a clue, and work on their lettering/artwork so it doesn't look so scratchy.

Second, that house is some kind of historic monument. No kidding on king of the hill, and check out the bathroom:
you can even see Ajax on the step LOL ... I guess even the wealthy use Ajax.

did you decide if you were moving out to L.A., Funky? we can find you more million dollar houses near the gangs LOL  ...

LOL I haven't decided yet but I'm still considering it. If anybody makes a mural here it always ends up being a picture of the falls. I'll post pics later.

That is pretty nice property. My bathroom in Las Vegas is that big. It is tough to relate to most of yall folks since yall never touched real kind of money. Most of you cats go wow to that house - for me it aint shit. But anyway cuzz - I would not want to be the King of the Hill.

The shops in St Hildas Project after regeneration in 1991

The same shops all abandoned in 2005 in what has become a thriving red light district and drug haven

The problem is I'm cheap and I use a disposable camera and I left it in the car the other day and it was VERY hot so I think the pics might be ruined. Plus people don't like seeing some guy driving around taking pictures of them and I have to wait till everybody leaves the area.
