Alot of Korean fobs banged in the 90s

Unread post by FINITO » May 22nd, 2009, 5:58 pm

Back in my days, most of the down ass guys in my circle were fobs. My hyungs and my homies from gangs were fobs but nowadays, i dont see any fobs making noise. Not that there's anything wrong with that but im just wondering how things changed. Nowadays, it seems to me that the Korean gangs have no identity. They dress like Mexicans with their cortez/ shaved head while talking like a black person. Back when i used to bang, we had our own thing with fashion, hairstyle etc.. Dont get me wrong, dressing in a certain way doesnt make someone down or anything like that but my points is that we had
" our own thing ".. WHen did Koreans Gs start emulating Blacks and mexicans?

And why aren't there any Fob gangsters no more?

As funny an observation that may be its partially true. I think a lot of them just kept getting busted for the same old stuff and a lot of them went 'home', literally like back to their country when their parents got sick of them getting busted.
hell i even know a few non fob asians whos parents sent their asses to live with relatives back home to keep them outta trouble, which is kinda funny considering the state of things 'back home'.

i am chinese, however i recall the same happening to me. I was born and grew up in America. I was quite active in something similar to a gang but one day I got in trouble and was arrested. My parents sent me back to China for a brief time for discipline. I did speak the language but not as well as I do presently. THe thing you wrote reminds me of that moment I was busted. The craziest part about me going back was that I wasn't the only one into trouble, but a lot people in my family are active or once were active in Triad gangs in Hong KOng and China. Whatever they did, made me look like an amateur.

yeh i seen some dude from LA who was Korean and he looked straight up Mexican, he had tats all over his body shaved hair wife beater on and talked like a black kid. He also didnt really like blacks too, is that normal? He reminded me of the Italians and Albananians in NY who hate blacks but emulate their culture.

the Fob gangster grew out of it or keep it on the DL, most of them is all about making money now than gang bangin if u ask me...for the Korean G's start emulating black and mexicans is becuz they grew up surrounded by the environment by either blacks or mexcian in LA..just like the cambodians here in the LBC they dress like blacks and talk like blacks LMAO!! but i wouldn't say they dress like them is the urban lifestyle i guess..

I gotta say Fobs held it down. i remember my boy came down to Cerritos (from Korea) and went to Fullerton. 1st day of class he was getting hit up for is accent and when I went to pick him up he was in front the school fighting...knocked out 3 front teeth of some dude that was making fun of him...kicked out of school and sent to alaska lol. Another homie was kicked out of tracy for the race wars fight at tracy and is on the down low now. And lastly I was up in the bay area at a karaoke studio and my other homie (was in the states from vietnam or cambodia for about a year..forgot) was almost run over in the parking lot. he ran up to the carload of chinese gangsters and punched out the front passenger window (bare fist) pulled the back passenger guy out (dude had a rambo knife) and started stomping him. The driver got out w/ a mini bat and started hitting my boy, but he kept stomping the guy. The whole time he was yelling at us not to jump in lol. trippin ass mofo. thats when we saw the other carload and had to jump in and send them home, but damn. Fobs were funny and cool to kick it w/. Always had good ghost stories.

Most korean fobs that I met came here cuz they had problems in Korea so was only natural for them to group up and bang.
