Doesn´t it also signify which streets are covered by the set, for example 20th streets 30th etc??

Yes, it is and was a hustling term started by LA crips back in the 70's. "Rollin" was a term initially used by pimps to describe how they "roll" money, cars, women, jewelery, etc... Rollin 60's crips coined that term first and foremost and then it took off all over LA and SD. In LA, it is now an alliance among "rollin" crip gangs 30, 40, 60, 90 and 100's. Not in SD, though.

i dont know how rollin came to be, but you dont see it much, but 60s still say rich rollin, say rich rollin because theyve always been making a lot of money...

I thought i came from the word "ContRollin'". Like 60's controllin' al the sixties streets and 40's all the steets from 40 to 49 etc. I thought I heard it in a documentary or something?

............not the original lowrider days but when blacks started lowridin..........there was said to be a group in the 1950's or 60's called the roamin 20's......if you think about it the 60's started about the time blacks started lowridin and starting car clubs....so part of the idea might of been around before the rsc's then they put the rollin twist to it....but like i said im just theorizing only the OGs know the real.

It originally started as RSC it stood for rolling strollin and controllin...N/Hood gangster...n/hood meaning neighborhood...mid 70's...
