in the early 1980s like in 1982 or 1982 the K-Swiss shoe was extremely popular among black urban kids in Los Angeles, especially on the westside. The cost about $35 - $40 a pair and they were white with white stripe, which always confused me, an all white leather sneak with white stripes.

Then the blue striped came out, and many west side crips would wear those.
