"Darryl" - Tookie's alleged accomplice

I would like to know if anybody ever found out who "Darryl" is. He is referred to in court documents as a participant in the 1979 7-11 murder that Tookie got convicted of, but never by his last name. Can't find any testimony from him either. Is it possible he was a minor at the time? Was he Darryl Oakes (14 years old in 1979?)
