{Gibby - You are NOT allowed to participate - you should know this - this ain't for you -
give other muthafuckas a quebradada to get this }

What was/is the official "ORIGINAL" name of East Side "MCF"

Complete name.

One of their O.G.'s, whom I know personally, got the Original Name tatted on his neck.

This is the only hints I'll give you -

They are contemporaries of East Side "TMC" <---- That should help

I have always known them as "Michigan Chicano Force." I knew Silent (who used to ride around in a little Carmen Ghia) and a down homegirl Nena from there.

*** I'm very disappointed this post only got a few reads, like 54, BUT If I was talking some racial shit, calling muthafuckas devils and shit, everyone would be die-ing to read this ***

I'll think twice about putting up REAL VARRIO HISTORY on here again...

ME AGUITAN

Anyways, since I'm NOT a dick, here you go......

*********************************

MCF since they turned into a varrio and started banging stands for:

Michigan {Avenue}Chicano Force

Sometime they will use Criminals in lieu of Chicano.

................................

But the original placaso is plain Old "M.C. Force CREW"

Crew = because they were originally break dancers and taggers

like TMC (The Mob Crew) same thing, they began as break dancers and taggers.

M.C. Stood specifically for what MC stood for during the 80's --> Microphone Conductor.

As in (Example) MC Hammer / MC Rin, and all the other MC's who where very popular during the 80's.....

Thus, MC Force Crew was born.

..............................

By pure coincidence they had a street right smack in the middle of their hood called "Michigan Ave" so they

adopted it and used it in place of MC, which did NOT sound too gangster into Michigan Chicano/Criminal = MC Force

And there you have it......

Gibby, Martinez, Rollin', any East Sider or Varrio Historian . . .
Can anybody tell me where the the Varrio Califas was located in Central Los?
The Varrio is mentioned in this one book I read that makes mention of the
Pachuco/Zoot Suit gangs that fought the military men during the Zoot-Suit riots.

This book mentions the "Lomas" Varrio (Chavez Ravine), Alpine Varrio (Palo Verde)
Diamond Varrio (Bunker Hill/Beaudry), Temple Varrio, Macy Varrio, Dogstown Varrio,
Bishops Varrio, El Hoyo Varrio, Maravila Varrio, Central Varrio (Clanton ?) The Flats
Varrio, El Paredon Varrio (Boyle Heights), Buena Vista Varrio (Solano Canyon/Hill --
--La Loma), Frog Town Varrio (Elysian Valley), Happy Valley Varrio, El Sereno Varrio,
Clover Varrio (Taylor Yards), Cinco Puntos >> Five Points Neighborhood (Lincoln Hts.),
Market Neighborhood (3rd St + Broadway), Las Cuatro Milpas Neighborhood (Boyle Hts?)

The Book is not about varrios/gangs, but more about the early Mexican neighborhoods
throughout the southwestern U.S. (Aztlan), but it made reference about the zoot-suit
riots and it lists the Varrio Califas as one of the "pachuco gangs" that battled the navy
boys during the riots. I had never ever heard mentioned this "Varrio Califas" before,
so I'm wondering if any of you ever did? And know where it was located at?

I don't remember the title of the book, but I beleive that it was "En Aquel Entoces" and
also a second book which I truly can't remember the title, but it was also in Spanish.

It mentions al kinds of other prior and same era Barrios, Colonias and Communities
such as the following list . . .

Barrio La Loma -- Austin, Texas
Barrio Segundo -- El Paso, Texas
Barrio Quinto -- Houston, Texas
Barrio El Crisol -- Houston, Texas
SEcond Ward -- Houston, Texas,
Barrio Magnolia -- Houston, Texas,
Colonia Villa -- Houston, Texas,
Colonia Hidalgo -- Houston, Texas
Barrio El Hoyo -- Tucson, Az,
Barrio Viejo -- Tucson, Az,
South Side Park/Zapata Park -- Sacramento
Jim Town Hoyo -- Pico Rivera/Whittier
Barrio Barelas -- Alburquerque, N.M.
Pilsen Barrio -- Chicago, Illinois
Barrio Mission -- San Francisco
Paredon Blanco -- Boyle Heights
Barrio Ramona -- Hemet
Casa Blanca Barrio -- Riverside
Barrio Logan -- San Diego
Barrio Alviso -- San Jose
Sal Si Puedes -- San Jose
Yerba Buena -- San Jose
Barrio Pico Viejo -- Santa Barbara
Pico Barrio -- Santa Monica
Campo Corona -- La Habra
Campo Alta Vista -- La Habra
Campo Colorado -- La Habra
Crow Village -- Stanton
Independencia Village -- Stanton
7-Up Camp -- Phoenix, Az.
Cuatro Milpas -- Phoenix, Az.
Golden Gate -- Phoenix, Az.
San Pablo "Mexican Town" -- Tempe, Az.
Little Hollywood -- Phoenix, Az.
Los Marcos -- Phoenix, Az.
Riverside Barrio -- Phoenix, Az.
East Lke Barrio -- Phoenix, Az.
Canoga Park
Carpas -- Carpinteria
Diablo Valley -- Pleasant Hill
Lil Chicago/South Chicago -- Oxnard "Chiques"
El Sur Barrio -- Oxnard
Poor Side -- Watsonville
Atwood Village -- Plasencia
La Joya Colonia -- Plasencia
Old Town -- San Juan Capistrano
Barrio Lamparas -- Lompoc ? or Guadalupe ?
-- up there in that area somewhere.

It also mentions the El Hoyo & Maravilla Varrios
as two distinct neighborhoods, and terms the
Belvedere MV community as ~~> "Paradise City"

Orale, one more ~> Little Manila -- Stockton.
Born in the 1920's and torn down in the 1960's
by the construction of the Crosstown Freeway.
This last shows just how far back the Califas
Pinoy Community "is" ~~> same with WS L.A.
and Del Sol/Otay in San Diego's South Bay.

Most of the Barrios, Colonias and Communities
mentioned in my prior post and abobe ^ ^ ^ ^
are dated back to the early 1900's / 1920's, 1930's
and very early 1940's.

good point BG., yeah, they weren't around back in the day when i would walk around that soto street & brooklyn zone, a lot of people have come and gone from those surroundings over the decades i suppose., soto street gone, third street gone, boyle heights 13 gone, state street pushed back, kams pushed others out and evergreen small but still hanging on., but yeah man, BIG HAZARD was never a joke, they were always old school staying up and controlling.

Big Hazard has been true all through the decades that's real.

I remember this one time when CHEMO's DxT lady (Connie) had a party at her pad right there on the first block of Leroy by Main, and La Hazard was invited to the party, so they came down in numbers, I mean, we were cool back then, backed each other up here and there sometimes, you know at Lincoln and shit, and well the party got heavy duty tu sabes, and before you know it shit is popping off between DT and BH vatos, so we were all stuffed inside her 3 story apt flat and CHEMO starts telling everybody to get out gtfo, lets take it outside, so we all went outside by the tot lot playground y sabes que? them vatos from BH outnumbered us 3 to 1 in our own pjs, lol., yeah man, i was kinda sweating a little you know, because we were there all lined up facing each other and ready to go at it and i'm like oh f++k , 'ta cabron, this is gonna be a mofo, but lo and behold, kooler heads from both sides calmed the pedo down and everyone went back to partying, yeah, i'm glad that cooled off because from the way i looked at it back then, yeah, La Hazard was big and not to be taken lightly.

Hazard will always be there as long as there's chicano varrios on the east side, imo, but as to present times current strength, i don't know, i been out of the east l.a. scene for over 30 years now, all i ever do is just visit up there every now and then, my pops is buried in east l.a. at Calvary cemetery, and i still got fam in el sereno, cypress park, eagle rock, and pueblo del sol, but that's about it. I like to drive around a little and check out the writing on the walls, but i really don't have new news from the place.

I like to drive around a little and check out the writing on the walls, but i really don't have NO new news from the place.

Does East La Dukes have a small area near MCF? It's been a while but I had driven through there at times & MCF & ELA always seemed to be wallbangin in that area?

The Soto & Cesar Chavez intersection is the barrier for a couple different hoods right? MCForce to the southeast, KAM to the northeast, State St northwest, & Tiny Boys southwest?

Yeah, that's their Brooklyn Side up by soto and cesar chavez, next to Michigan Chicano Force then KAMS north of Brooklyn and Breed Street west of Soto, and Tiny Boys is NW of soto and brooklyn, but State Street got pushed bak from that intersection area due to VTB13 being right there. State is more north by City View and west towards state park. That's how i got it on the map.

State Street used to control all that area west of soto, and they even used to extend south of brooklyn all around white memorial hospital next to Varrio Boyle Heights (defunct) but over time their territory has shrunk. State Street is an old varrio that goes back to year 1942.
