Orphans 13

I remember that there was a real small barrion called Orphans 13 active in the Pico UNion area in Rampart Division. I think they used to be a click of 18th Street, but went solo. I went through there but could not find their barrio. they are so small cant find them .

does anyone know their area? It is either near Beverly & Witmer or on the north side of the UPS near Witmer Street barrio.

I was in prison with a Black dude from there. He said they hood was off of 8th & Union....

Said they had major beef with the 18's. He also told me the had beef with:
Burlington st. Witmer st. St. Criminals, MSX3, Bounty Bray. I cant remember the rest....

i am writing a book on gang history and one of the things that i am doing is mapping gangs so that i can exgtract demographic data on each gang. For example, if i wanted to know which gang was in the poorest area of LA , i would not be able to answer that unless i map the territories to the socio-economic data, i will be able to determine what gang are located in the lowest income, educatino, single parent, etc. Before i do that though, i must map them. I alreadydid that for the Black gangs and about half done for the Hispanic gangs. hope that answers your question. peace

I'm buying that book when it comes out. But When I was in YA I knew a bunch of Orphans from Orange County and I assume they were created by the ones that you just mentioned. Alonso did you know they started a click in San Diego, El Cajon to be exact and then they stopped claiming LA because the San Diego Prison Car checked them and they had to stop?

I think the Orphans are in Westminster or Midway city. They don't do nothin though. They're a small hood of mostly busters from what I've heard. Only ever ran into a few of them back in 96 and they were just some highschool wabs. Long hair and ducktails and shi-.

Well I heard that one of them blew someone's head off with a shotgun and got seven years from some homie in Midway a couple months ago. He said an Orphan was fighting with some customer in the front yard of their crib and another Orphan flew out the door and now's in prison for it.

that's what I always thought, but who knows. I think they been around for a while though, but who knows. They're like West Trece in Westminster. A small hood that doesn't really have any major neighbors, so they are allowed to go about their business thinkin they're bad without problems.

Never noticed this post. The Orphans in OC were next door to West13 (Westminster13). They were rivals and I believe now the OC Orphans died out. West13 is still there right where Westminster meets Garden Grove.

West 13 main kick it spot is at Sigler Park off Hoover and Westminster. Orphans 13 hood is on 15st off of Newland and Westminster. They are pretty much the only gangs in Westminster. There's also Midway City 13. MWC is a small unicorporated area that's between Westminster and Huntington Beach.

Made a mistake on my initial comment. I believe the Westminster Orphans are still there on 15st. I’m familiar with Varrio Midway City. I used to always see their hood hit up with huge “Varrio Midway City” tags. All three of those hoods beef with each. Westminster was home to a lot of Vietnamese gangs in the 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s. Now a days there’s some Viet gang member still around but aren’t banging like they used to.

Yea Orphans still kick it on 15st. They also have an Anaheim Oprhans clique now. Not sure where in Anaheim they kick it at or how deep they are.
Yea Westminster, Garden Grove and Little Saigon were known back then for their Asian gangs.
