The 39th Street that I know is over by the DMV near USC off the 110 Freeway, so I dont think there were a click of 38th Street because they are no where near 38th Street. They are a small varrio and been there for years.

There is a lot of commercial buildings in their area, I believe that their neighborhood has changed, in the same way ES Clanton became more commercial.

I was in a program smack dab in the middle of their hood, on 38th & Grand. True, that area is largely commercial, but they got apartments right there on the corner of 38th & Grand, also some houses/apartments on 39th. Their graffiti is everywhere, & I ran into a few of em. Not sure if they share the hood with a black gang or not, but there would always be some black gangster types slanging on Grand & 39th.

The main guy from 39th I always saw was Dopey. He has a 3 on one cheek, 9 on the other. That fool was shermed out 24/7, lol. Always talking to himself & dancing in front of the liquor store. Back when I was there, which was 2012, I know they were catching the blues hard from Hang Out Boyz as well as 36th Street.
