Sangra in the City of San Gabriel

old school barrio.

not much members. (the neighborhood has turned into a mostly middle or upper middle class neighborhoof of asians)

they are very picky on who they let in so not much youngsters.

These fools are more off of Broadway than Valley. U rarely see them but I just moved to Del mar and Broadway and they stay posted in front of JR barber shop on Del Mar, mostly older Vatos but u see a few youngsters. I just moved there last week and saw them all hemed up by the SGPD and saw them today posted like five deep in front just holdingit down. They got some writing around the area too, but nothing major. They do have a prescence still which really took me by surprise.

I just met a 70+ year old Sangra memeber. I was like WTF! He was out there chilling with all the guys. I was walking down Del Mar and a 56 year old member say he wants me to meet his older homeboy. He had his head shaved he was dressed all G'd up it was crazy. I knew Sangra was one of the oldest SGV Barrio's but Im thinking it might be older than I thought. I was thinking 60's but now Im thinking early 50's. I gotta ask, I lived in alot of different Barrios but this by far is the most interesting. Never seen so many active older vato's with a small mix of youngsters. Its funny cuz the older vatos get so frustrated with the youngsters, 2 of their lil homies threw down when I was over there and it was in front of kids, and they were upset and made them stop and take it to Smith Park, the youngsters went and apologized to the parents, then went to the park and handled their beef. I was tripping out on how traditional these guys are. I been there for maybe a month and the gang unit came to me at the pad cuz they wanted to know who I am and just wanted to get familiar with me. From cops to the gang this is a old school town with alot of respect.

assuming the vato was probably a founder of Sangra...if not; they might be older than that

They caught me when I was pulling in my driveway 3 cars deep, perfect timing. They "assumed" since I wasnt from Sangra and I had just left talking with a few of the older ones, that I was "somebody". I was like WTF I teach kids Martial Arts how u gonna accuse me of that shit....lol . Then they got all scared and were being all shady cuz I got collard flowers ears. I just wanted to be cool with them for future interaction, since im the new guy in town.

Not sure whats going on but for the past few weeks I have not seen a single vato from SG out nor any new writing, I have also noticed that when cruising through Lomas they are out and about quite a bit. SG was deep at the Mission carnival when I took my kids but since then nothing. Not sure whats going on in the streets right now but there is a eerie silence. Also heard the Asians in SG been pretty active, I heard a few asians gangsters who live in SG got popped for a murder in Alhambra a few weeks ago.

my primo is from the SanGra Diablos, and he was saying that the placas be on them like flies on shit lately
he's raised all his life in SanGra and the Valle since a little morrito, but he never had papeles, so he got popped for a jale and then after serving tiempo he got sent to nogales and put back across the line, lol
