Although crime (including violent crime) in Toronto has been steadily decreasing over the past decade, concern over gun and gang related crimes has come to the attention of the media. While Toronto's homicide rates are extremely low compared to many cities in the United States of America (in 1999, Toronto had 1.3 homicides per 100,000 compared to Houston's 13.4, Chicago's 23.3, and Washington, DC's 45.5 [7]) and Toronto has lower crime rates than most cities in Canada, there are many calls to take action to prevent what is seen as a slide towards a potential increase in crime. American gang experts have been brought in and increased funding for programs in troubled neighbourhoods have been recently initiated.

Man Toronto is a nice place to live compared to alot of places in America.

Man Toronto is a nice place to live compared to alot of places in America.

Niagara Falls is split in 2. One side is American and the other is Canadian. The difference in the 2 sides is extreme. The Canadian side is nice and clean with lots of businesses, while our side is dirty, all the businesses are closed up and there is a lot more crime.

Now I am not saying that my side is superviolent. We only have about 5-10 homicides a year. But Niagara Falls Canada has 0.

We have a population of about 50,000 while the Canadian side has about 90,000.

We are the perfect example of America vs. Canada.

America=crime and poverty

Canada=happy people and clean streets with barly any crime

It's population is around 250,000.

i dont know how whole eastern europe lokks like but romania most parts of romanai is still looking fucked up from the revolution in the early 90s, but anyways the whole part of europe that was communists looks fucked up to me, but some made it and stand on their own feet now...
