Ghost Town Venice

Many neighborhoods can not maintain themselves with the level of competition. They may get pulled into other neighborhoods or they just fade out. Only discuss those areas from LOS ANGELES that are gone.

Ghost Town was the black gang in Oakwood, Venice during the "pre-Crip" era (50's-early 60's). I don't know if they're the direct ancestors of ShoreLines but I doubt it - about ten years separate the end of Ghost Town and the beginning of Shore Line Crips.

They still called Oakwood Ghost Town in the early 90's I remember.

Must be some connection no? Seems like the Black residents of Oakwood stayed for generations, and it's not too big of a community there.
