Hoods known by a diff name

Many neighborhoods can not maintain themselves with the level of competition. They may get pulled into other neighborhoods or they just fade out. Only discuss those areas from LOS ANGELES that are gone.

Hoods or gangs known by a diff name back in time...

For example;

Little River Valley = Frog Town
Little Mansions = Crow Village
Los Pozos = Canta Ranas

Back in the 80's, vanowen street 13 were break dancers and were known as the "Adida Boyz". They started getting into beefs with surrounding gangs, and changed their name.

Back in the 70's, lil hill 13 went by the "Papas Pizza" gang. There was a little pizza store in their neighborhood, that they would hang out at when they were kids, and they eventually changed their name.

Back in the 90's, Astoria Gardens 13, they started off as mexican bloods out in the SFV. The gang they were from was called "New Breed Family", when the whole situation when down with the Mexican Mafia and prison politics, these mexicans had to drop from the blood car and switch up to surenos, they're known for their bloody war against San Fer 13, an extremely deep gang, organized, and has members in the Mexican Mafia.

what about like Barrio Artesia and F Troop?

Or Buena Clinton and Hard Times; and don't they claim Santana, even though BC is in Garden Grove?

Are you talking about gangs that were once known by a completely different name?

Barrio Artesia was it’s own gang but merged with the growing FxTroop.

Frog Town Riverside and Frog Town Rifa... I’m told Riverside was part of their name first and then they changed the R to mean “Rifa”?

Michigan Chicano Force and Michigan Criminal Force. I don’t know if Chicano is still used today but I think the gang got its name during the Chicano movements of the 60’s & 70’s...
