Raul "Crook" Rodriguez, 27, An Alpine street gang member was shot and killed on April 11, 1996, on the orders of Avenues gang member, Richard "Lil Peewee" Aguirre, 15. His crime against the Avenues gang was snitching on an Avenues gang member by the name of, Richard "Stalker, Ramirez, whom he told police had killed someone at a New Year's Eve party the year before.

Stanley Garcia, 52, An Alpine street gang member was shot and killed on Thursday, October 7, 2007 in the Chinatown area of 717 Alpine st. At approximately 12:00pm on October 7, 2007, Freddy Contreras encountered his friend Stanley Garcia near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Grand Avenue. They bought beers at a liquor store and went to a park. Afterwards, Contreras and Garcia parted ways near the corner of Alpine street and Grand avenue. As Contreras walked away, he turned around and saw a black SUV with a chrome grill pull up next to Garcia on the passenger side.

As Contreras stood watching, he heard defendant ask Garcia, "Where are you from?", Garcia responded, "Alpine Street", a reference to the Alpine street gang to which he belonged. Defendant's hand came up and shot Garcia with an automatic weapon three or four times. Garcia fell to the ground and suffered a hip fracture and multiple hand fractures. Garcia died 11 days after the shooting as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. Paul "Little Man" Cortez, a member of the Mara Salvatrucha 13 gang was convicted of the murder.

An unidentified man, with tattoos of the Los Angeles, "Alpine Street" gang on his abdomen, was found shot to death in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, on Monday, March 12, 2012, Chihuahua Attorney General's officials said. The victim, in his mid 40s, was lying in the middle of the street at Batopilas and Carlos Adame streets, in the Anahuac neighborhood, officials said. He sustained several gun shot wounds to his body and died at the scene. According to police, the varrio "Alpine Street" gang was founded in 1890, in Los Angeles, California.
