It's called N*ggaSpace.com - and it mimics the popular myspace.com site.

The owner - who goes by the name Tyrone, and won't reveal his race - said "this is no way meant to be racist, my biggest intention is to change the connotation of the word."

Despite Tyrone's pie-in-the-sky hopes, the name had African-American city leaders outraged.

"That's insane!" said City Councilman Charles Barron. "People need to understand that you don't take a word meaning lowlife and worst kind of human being and use it like that.

"We need to call ourselves more royal things, like kings and queens, not that word."

An aside about the word crack, other than its meaning as in crack cociane.

Up in the North of UK when I was a kid, when a friend called round to my yard, they would say, "are you coming out on the/for the crack?" Crack here meaning 'for a laugh', for a mess about, for mischief and the likes.

Or "its a good crack", meaning a fun thing to do.

Or "whats the crack?" meaning whats going on/whats the situation.

So when crack cocaine turned up in UK ten years after it hit the states (here it only hit hard in cities in the early 90's on), it was kinda confusing using the old school expressions lol! 'Cos now in East London I can't say, "are you coming out on the crack?" to a friend because peeps'd imagine we was off to suck a glass pipe in some shitehole someplace lol, when we'd be off on the Lash! (the Lash meaning going out to drink heavily)

Apols - back to topic. Niggaspace=ignorant. My best guess is the kiddo who started it was indeed a white boy who had n idea that he was down, hip 'n cool to use the word nigga for his thing and it all backfired on him because theres no way round it, it is a racist thing. I don't use the word and I don't appreciate my friends using the word and always pull a friend up for usage. Why, because its too loaded, too loaded, and I don't get down with it being a re-claimed woed neither. I'm of dual heritage and view ethnicity as pretty fuccin complex and it pisses me right off when I hear nigga or craker in a denegrative way, what other position could I take? I can't deny any side and believe in the human races ultimate capacity to work out this ish over time, because ultimately, we are human beings, homo sapiens, one human race, not two or three just one. And mixed girls can be the most beautiful too, its a beautiful thing.
