Brazilian gangsta rap!
MV Bill - Soldado do Morro -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOaQnKhdIIA
MV Bill - Traficando Information -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ik27BDGl7g
First video is one of the hardest videos I've seen... People posing with machine guns, etc. and you can tell it's all real, not fake.
Second video has a better song in it, and good video also.

And speaking about non-american gangsta rap, here's IAM from Marseille, France. Not actually a gangsta rap group, but this video is rude and shows how it is in Marseille.

It's not always necessary to understand what they are saying. Music and books are different things. I don't understand a word either, but I still like their beats, flows, and the feeling of those videos. When I started to listen to american rap as a young kid, I dind't understand nothing but a few words from here and there, but I still liked it.BxxMILITIA wrote:how the fu*k u expect us 2 like this shit if u cant even understand wut they're saying???

Oh, and did anyone else notice that every video posted here has white and black people together in it? That's kinda different comparing to USA rap videos...

I got the impression, that this "whigger" stuff is a very american issue.punamusta wrote:True.Sentenza wrote:Yea, thats how moist people grow up in the world, listening to american music, but dont understanding shit.punamusta wrote:It's not always necessary to understand what they are saying. And also, that america is still very much segregated in a way.

Puna, what do you think of NTM? I like this song:
Ma Benz
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vWltNwRiok
and this song has has one of my favorite beats. Makes me want to hurt somebody.
Sinik- L'Assassin

Here's more African hiphop. These videos are from a Somalian guy called K'naan. He's currently living in Canada. He spits pure wisdom (and in english..)!
K'naan - What's Hardcore
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymilgCJjIys
Although this video is done by some random internet-user, the song is still great. And offers a lot to think about to anyone who considers themselves as "hardcore".
K'naan - Soobax
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRqGIwkZ-Ew
This song is one of his best known songs. Filmed in Somalia and directed for the Somalian warlords. Very strong song and video! Everyone interested of Africa should see this.
K'naan - Struggling

Haven't heard of NTM that much, but that song was nice. I liked the dancehall style it has. Video itself was pretty lame, but it doesn't really matter.Sentenza wrote:Puna, what do you think of NTM? I like this song:

Sinik's song was great! Crazy feeling and energy in it!
And about that Thai-rap... That song sounded just like American-rap. Only the language was different. Nothing original there..

True. What I've understand from this board and from my friends that been in US, people in US pretty much stay with their "own". It's like people actually choose to be segregated.Sentenza wrote: I got the impression, that this "whigger" stuff is a very american issue.
