Wow half those rappers Jay would kill, and were talkin greatest and Jay has more hits then almost everyone on that list combined, I recomnd you get reasonable doubt and the black album and you will see why Jay is one of the greatest alive, and cant believe you put mase SMH.

reasonable doubts was his best work..ive heard it...dead presidents is one of my favourite songs..jay fell off after nas started clownin him..all he was doin is puttin his grl in the video n makin it sell affter that

And you havnt heard enough of jays songs then cause he would murk "lyrically" half those rappers and Nelly and ja rule dont have nearly as many hits as Jay either, barely anyone in the history of the rap game can match Jays hits, Jay is very lyrical too you need to listen to more of his shit , and he clowned nas first with takeover which is one of the best diss's of all time IMO.

Let me guess you think Pac is the greatest ever right? well lyrically there have been better rappers but yet people still count him as the greatest, see there is a lot more that make up the "greatness of a rapper"

AZ is good and in some cases better lyrically but like Jay-Z his first album is his stand out album and the rest are just medium while Jay on the other hand continued to make solid albums, and AZ never even had his video played on tv come on now how is he supposed ot be so great if the nigga didnt even get exposure being the game as long as he has

The Wu is a group of 9 rappers and jay-z is one rapper you cant compare groups to a rapper and jay-z is better then masta killa, u-god, and ODB lyrically and tell me how consisting the solo careers of Wu have been compared to Jay .

Overall Jay is the better rapper and Takeover is not overated he dissed a few rappers in there not just nas and practically ended mobb deeps careers. As far his club hits not all im talkin about and Dirt off your shoulder is one hell of a single . His had a lot of street hits and is one of the most consistant rappers in the game ,so once again listen to more of his shit.

I never said Jay was greater then Pac i said its more then one thing that makes a rapper great because Pac wasnt the best lyrcist of all time yet his considered hteg reatest of all time by a lot of people. So you saying How do you want it ft JODECI is gangsta?
