Maybe so but even with ray lewis the last few years have been nothing. They havent got to the super again. Also when they did go to the super bowl it wasnt just ray lewis he had much more help. Vick led his team (which had no one except him) to the playoffs and beat greenbay at home which no one has ever done.

I would either with Ray Lewis or Ladainian Tomlinson. LT is a one-man army, he was solo last year on horrible offense and still did great.

^^^Get over that Green Bay win homeboy. The Falcons admitted themselves that Green Bay........beat Green Bay. Ray Buchanan has said on numerous occasions that the Packers didn't even act like they wanted to play....the game was over before it begun.

Championships are won with Defense......Just look at the last 4-Champs (Ravens, Bucs, Patriots-2x) neither team is/was known for their offense....Period.

CONMAN U CAME WITH THE FACTS THERE HOMIE. WHO WOULD OF PICKED CAROLINA TO GO TO THE SUPER BOWL THIS YEAR. DON'T BE SUPRISED TO SEE A TEAM LIKE THE REDSKINS OR BENGALS GO FAR. NONE OF YALL CAN CALL WHO GONNA BE IN IT, UNLESS YOUR PHIL MICKELSON (HE CALLED THE RAVENS AND PATRIOTS BEFORE THE SEASON). DEFENSE HAS BECOME THE MUST HAVE IN THE LEAGUE, WHO CARES IF YOU SCORE 40 POINTS, IF YOU GIVE UP 41 YOU LOSE.

Fisrt off what do you mean get over the greenbay win, i really dont care about the falcons im a RAIDER fan. O yea and New englands D didnt win it for them. They had a well rounded team. O and why didnt the titans win it last year? They had the best D and the MVP ? Why didnt the eagles with mcnabb? Why didnt the ravens they had the leading rusher. Those were the top 3 defense's with other good players on O, and they wernt even in the super bowl.

The Titans didnt have the best defense last year, they were ranked 13 in points per game (20.3) and in 12 in yards per game (306)
The Eagles didnt have a TOP 5 D either, they were 7 on poinrs per game and 20 in yards per game. The Ravens D were ranked 6. And the N°1 was...... New-England.

^^^Your a Raider fan...join the club. I actually like several teams, but the Raiders are the team that I LOVE!

I like GB, and that Vick win was good but unimpressive (maybe I am biased). As for D, it is the primary reason why the past few Superbowls have been won the way they have. The last Offensive minded team to win a SB was the Rams. All of the others have been D dominated. NEngland is well rounded but their D is what seperates them from the rest. Titans lost to NEngand, barely, and could have won that game...the better team won. Eagles should have gone to the last two SB, their problem is choking...they always choke (Tampa, Carolina). Ravens have the D & running, no passing...you have to be able to move the ball and not be 1-dimensional. If you look at all the recent SB champs, they were all great on D, but ok on O (at least had one threat). The Ravens stand out because they were really bad on O and still beat the Giants.

thats a hard 1 because in order 2 get the best results it would b better 2 say,THE BEST PLAYER AT A PARTICULAR POSITION." 2 me there is no such thing as a best player in the NFL. u can vote on this in the NBA but not in the NFL because in the NBA, eveybody shoots the ball. everybody has a particular position but any position shoots the ball. u not gone see Warren Sapp playing quaterback. u not gone see Vick playing linebacker. football is more complex. everybody dont touch the ball in football. every position in the NFL has a significant role and alot of them positions dont touch the ball. so when you're debating on the best player in the NFL break it down in positions 1st.

alot of folk say Vick is the best QB. vick is the best scrambling QB without a doubt. but saying Vick is the best QB is a bit misleading. because if Atlanta had a GREAT offensive line, Vick wouldnt have 2 rush 15 x a game. think about. but he is the best "scranbling" QB.

^^^I can agree with that 100%, but here is the thing....

Naming the best is a personal opinion, and can not be proved based on individual position play...you have to base it on what that person means to their team and helping their team win. Hell, you could even make a case for Vinateri, kicker for NE, if you based it on wins and the recent SBowls.

I based mine on the following:

1. What they mean to their team.
2. Results and impact of their play.
3. Status among others in their position.
4. What have they done (i.e. awards, MVP, playoffs, SBowls, etc.)
5. Notoriety

You can argue up and down about who is the best, but R. Lewis will come out on top using the info above.

L.T (SDiego) good, but so is Ahman Green, R. Williams, C. Portis, M. Faulk, etc.
Vick really good, but so is Manning, McNair, Brady, McNabb
Farve, same as Vick, been to 2-SB, has 1, but is getting old.

R. Lewis has no rivals in his position....maybe D. Brooks (TB) but he is not considered as good..yet. Urlacher was for a minute, but he stays injured.

Who...means more to their teams success and is better at his position then Lewis?

I think I would have to go with Peyton Manning. He is on pace right now to break almost all of Dan Marino's records...including total passing yards (Marino has 61,xxx) and total passing touchdowns (Marino has 420).

Defensive players...Ray Lewis was a huge symbol of the Ravens a few years ago, but lately he hasn't been anything that special to talk about. Nick Barnett (middle linebacker) of the Packers is going to be a big name player soon. In his first 2 years he has almost 260 tackles, 4 interceptions and 5 sacks.

I disagree with u 100% on this 1 Blakk. U better go check your stats playa. Muhsin Muhammad from the CAROLINA PANTHERS squad led the league in receptions and touchdowns. Hines Ward ranks 24th in reception yards and had only 4 receiving touchdowns. LOL. So much 4 the leader,LOL.

Here's the numbers.

Muhsin Muhammad:
#1 with 1405 receiving yards and 93 receptions
#1 with 16 touchdowns(note: 4 times as many touchdowns than the "proclaimed" overall best hands down wide receiver) LOL.
Hines Ward:
#24 with 1004 receiving yards and 80 receptions
4 touchdowns(with ONLY 4 touchdowns the "great" Hines Ward don't even qualify 2 be in the ranked category)........D a n g! LOL LOL but he is the best, SIKE!
So there's the evidence. Judge 4 yourself. This year MUHSIN MUHAMMAD is the best wide receiver hands down. By the way, from the CAROLINA PANTHERS.

Antwan Randal El can play any of those as well, and I think he's better than Ward.

The best players this year were Brady and Manning.

I would say Terell Owens because he bring his A game every week unlike Randy Moss. He showed heart in the Super Bowl I would want a player like him on my team any day.
