Is this fight going to be at 147 or 140 lbs. ? Either way i think Maywheather is going to win but at 140lbs, Hatton seems to be more comfortable at that weight, which would make more an exciting fight in my opinion.
Even though Hatton beat Corrales at 140lbs., I thought Hatton wasnt as aggressive as he was in his past fights.
Anyways, I want Hatton to win as well, Floyd talks too much shit, but i dont think thats going to happen.
Just hope this fight is worth the cost to watch it, not like the De La Hoya, Maywheather fight.

If Mayweather defeats Hatton hes going to retire ? I would think he would stick around for Cotto, since that would be a big payday for both of them. so long as Cotto dosent lose to Mosley.LcBwC wrote:Just might...alexalonso wrote:this is too close to call, if Mayweather wins this one, he may retire undefeated.

Cuzz he has a big ass ego that's why larry merchant from hbo boxxing hates him so much and wants to see him lose so bad no matter how good mayweather looks larry merchant says something bad about him after the fight
lol i noticed larry always says its boring as hell or somethingKINGFEAR62 wrote:alexalonso wrote:If Mayweather is already rich, why don't he go out like Rocky Marciano?

Marciano is the exception. Boxers are very competitive even when there told not to fighty anymore they still think they have one good fight in them, weve all heard that before right ? Evander Holyfield, come to mind.alexalonso wrote:If Mayweather is already rich, why don't he go out like Rocky Marciano?

In order for The Hitman to win(extremely tall order for even a great fighter/warrior like Hatton), he'll have tooso1 wrote:I hope so, but i seriously doubt it.londonpride wrote:Hatton will beat the big mouth.
carry the fight to Mayweather. That means staying in his chest, plenty of grappling(holdin' n hittin'), and employing
an air-tight defense(something he's not known for). He has a chance to pull of the upset. Thing is, the fight will be
held at 147(a weight Hatton's not fully acclimated to). Mayweather should win this one going away, either by a boring
points win or late stoppage(mostly due to cuts).
Hats off to both guys for putting their unblemished records on the line and finally meeting up..
Hatton has to apply the same game plan he did when he fought Kostay Tszyu.ManifestTruth wrote:

watching that fight, i noticed that Hatton needed a better body attack, because there is no way you are going to land consistently on Floyd's dome unless you attack that body, something Hatton did not do enough of.ManifestTruth wrote:In order for The Hitman to win(extremely tall order for even a great fighter/warrior like Hatton), he'll have tooso1 wrote:I hope so, but i seriously doubt it.londonpride wrote:Hatton will beat the big mouth.

Hattons not a 147 pound fighter. He was 2 small, and 2 slow to do anything effective. Mayweather didnt even have to bounce around. A smaller fighter cant do it. The game plan of getting in on him and bullying him was right but the fighter was wrong. I think Mayweather and Cotto would be a good fight. But Mayweather would be more elusive for Cotto and rely more on his speed and defense.

I dont think Hatton was stronger(not at 147 anyway). Floyd's fought at welter for a few yearsalexalonso wrote:I thought that Hatton was the stronger fighter, he just had no defense and would walk right into what ever Floyd was throwing. Hatton looked bigger and looked stronger to me, Floyd was just better and smarter.
now and is fully acclimated whereas Hatton isnt/wasnt. Hattton may appeared to have
been the stronger fighter but that was due in large part to the physical nature in which he
fights. Floyd has underestimated and overlooked strength(as well as toughness). Either way,
in hindsight, he was tailor-made for Mayweather.
