What's the playlist of the contemporary average gangbanger?
I'd like to know the kind of music that the average LA gang member ( if he exists...) listens to.
Does cult group like N.W.A. still have a great influence in the hood today?
Do LA gangbangers listen to mainstream shit like lil'wayne, 50cent and so on, or are they aware of some underground artists from East- or West coast? Is West Coast rap predominant?
I obviously don't want to generalize stupidly, there are of course different people in LA who listen to various kind of Hip-hop and of music in general, but i'd like to know the tendancy of LA streets...
I'm french so excuse my english...
Peace from Paris, France.

Re: What's the playlist of the contemporary average gangbanger?

ok. What about west coast rap pionneers like NWA, Ice T and so on...Are they still listened in the hood? (i assume that the old generation still listen to them, but do they have success among the youngest gangbangers?)Vincetheprince wrote:Out here in Cali I know Latinos listen to CONEJO, Hi Power (Mr. Criminal, etc.) Sureno rap for Latinos, black people Idk bout because I'm not black but I'd say theyre mainstream

Re: What's the playlist of the contemporary average gangbanger?
gangsta rap, some mainstream, and ur hoods rappers
mexican gangsters for the most part listen to all kinds of black rap too except if you sureno you aint listening to norteno rap, vice versa.
blacks dont listen to too much mexican gangsta rap, i mean sureno type shit but i listen to conejo he is cool even though he is on that racial shit, but i feel mexicans do that shit to make moves amongst young dumb prideful mexican gangsters, cuz conejo also said the dream producer he wants to work with is Dr. Dre.
