Oldies but Goodies

Unread post by Bumper » August 7th, 2004, 8:58 am

You gotta love the roles Oldies but Goodies, East Side Story
Brenton wood: Bird man
Intruders: Cow Boys to Girls
Mary wells # 1
temprees
Stylystics
Al Green
Billy Stewert
Temptations
Gene Chandler

Growing up in the streets of Comptone rolling in your Varrio on your bicycle or enimies varrio this is what you always heard real old school music.
I remember as a kid hearing them with family and even today still hear them in varrio and also play them for the yougsters schooling them on real genuine music. Oldies but Goodies, ohh and you gotta remember the song Memories of El Monte.

Stylistics, I would like to see them perform, I will wait till they get closer to Los, we gott a lot of good concerts here.
The Art Loboe concert is on the 11th. 09/11/04, I have been to last couple and it is very clean. Their is a few older white people but not a lot. Majority Raza/Chicanos and a lot of blacks, if any one has never been to this concert check it out, last year probobly 15,000 people was their watching NB Rider, ZAPP, Rosie & the originals, Barber Lewis, G.Q, lil Rob and a lot of others. their was people from all over the area that was their and problobly other states too. It was good to see jente from every were kicking it together reprsenting their varrios with no static no one tripping, LA, IE, SD puro Surenos good ass feeling.
