Overreated in College football

Unread post by Interested » September 24th, 2004, 2:26 pm

Georiga- is so overrated. David greene is so shaky that i just can't trust o beat LSU this weekend and the beat Florida, plus the SEC championship.

LSU- Co-National champions lost to Auburn, Lets see if the can rebound against georgia.

USC- There the same thing as last year. There not playing the Quality opponents.

the hell u talking about "quality oponents">
USC FACES two ranked opponents and a possible BCS team in a upsurging notre dame team that has blown away its past opponents by an average of three touchdowns. CAL is no. 10 in the nation on USC'S schedule and arizona state is top 15. and remember, USC SHUT DOWN AUBURN LAST YEAR while LSU got busted by them this year.

but in my opinion, USC is overrated this year and shouldn't be ranked no. 1 - but should belong in the top 5 with my pick as OU as the no. 1 team in the nation.

just wait until USC's receiving corps start clicking though. dwayne jarret, steve smith, and fred davis should step up hard in the coming games

did you catch the game versus ASU?
freshman dwayne jarret a wr had a blowout game gains the asu sun devils. right now his stats are on par with mike william's freshman stats.

if he plays like this consistenly the SC OFFENSE can not be stopped.
- should sc remained undefeated this season they should finish no lower than no. 2 due to BCS formula and preseason points.

"That D" is one of the best if not the best in the country. No team can match Miami's speed. Berlin? meh we've won it with less talented qb's, dont worry about that...

hahah, spoken like a true 'canes fan; brash, cocky, knowledgeable about his team.

the 'canes have been able to reload on talent, speed, and size on almost every position if not for an upgrade or of equal talent. during the past 20 years miami has won a string of national championships - more than five perhaps in the past decade or so?

at any rate-

i would love to see either USC V MIAMI or OU V. SC in the championship game. all these teams have superb talent and speed.

current rankings via espn;

1. USC
2. MIAMI
3. OU
4. AUBURN

Miami, Florida, Florida St., always had good players...especially in the 80's & 90's.

Lately though, the Pac-10 has been serious...Cal, ASU, Washington (in the 90's).....if I am not mistaken, didn't Arizona have the original Desert Storm team???

USC is hands and away better then anyone else at the moment....and the ESPN rankings are wrong....Oklahoma belongs ahead of Miami right now.

In my opinon, its whoever gets the national TV time. Boise State has the longest win streak right now and also they play on National Tv lie very thursday or something like that. I would like to see boise state versus the Miami Hurricanes and see who will win that one.

that's actually those stupid BCS computer rankings from ESPN.

however the AP/COACHES polls differ marginally..

1. OK 1. USC
2. USC 2. OK
3. MIAMI 3. MIAMI

the changes in the BCS system this year is that the weight of the FINAL rankings are going to more towards the AP/COACHES poll.

however, if all three of these teams including UTAH and teams like BOISE STATE go undefeated - BCS and NCAA officials should reconsider and consider a PLAYOFF SYSTEM!

yes, Miami lost. their defense has been questioned during the past few months due to their very tight games with non-ranked teams. brock berlin looked pretty good in the loss to NC but the defense let them win the game.

any more upsets?

possibly-

look out for:

1. usc v. oregon state and also notre dame
2. OU v. texas a&m
