i would love to be there
but i think a trip during the world cup is very expensive, with tickets, hotel and everything included
and i hate flying longer than 10 hours, so i dont think im going to be there

brazil is of course the favorite, but i have to say germany wil make it this time

at the moment spain is on top of everybody, we have to wait for the european championship to see if they still are unbeatable

Hell yeah I been planning on this trip for the last year, but you can't do much but save up until the match schedules are released. Even then I think they do ticket draws so I might not even make it into a seat.

I've even learning the language. Eu falo pouco de portugues, the Rio accent too.

Gonna cost a grip though, plus the plane ride, plus spending money

The USA appears to have a better team than Mexico. The USA qualified.

Yea. Almost all qualified teams to World Cup are now confirmed. Only couple of places left from Europe and/or Oceania.

Here's the teams that have already qualified:

It actually seems that Mexico will qualify, too. Yesterday they beated New Zealand 5-1 and they won't lose the next game 4-0 or worse, they'll in the World Cup.

I think the US has a good shot of making sum noise. Our coach, thx Germany, is pretty good at strategizing and calling a good game.

As for El Tri, my goodness, these dudes need sum serious help. The last few months have been an embarrassment. Unless the get hot real quick, there's gonna be an early exit.

As for the Germans, they have a solid squad n will definitely make a run. But of course, being in Brazils backyard, Brazil has the homefield advantage.

Should be a good WC indeed.

i cant see anyone taking it to the brazilians in their own back yard...

I agree, just being optimistic. Spains definitely not gonna make it this time. They had their time. Its either Brazil, us or Argentina i guess...
Hows the English team doing, havent been following that too much lately.

I'd put my money on these 3, too. But I don't see Brazil as number one favorite, as playing in home means HUGE pressure from the fans and the media.

And you can never count Italy out either, no matter what team they have. They're always strong in big tournaments.

Hopefully Portugal beats the shit out of the Swedish fags tonight :D

we got you tuesday next week dude, how were playing against CHILE at the moment, 1-0 down at home 75 mins gone, yous lot are gonna absolutely fuckin BAPTISE us, im sorry to say...i follow the bundesliga on a weekly basis and i see an awful lot to like about it, 51%+ fan owned clubs, more home grown german stars, reasonable gate prices - i was actually thinking about proving the point that it would be cheaper for me to fly dortmund and watch borussia that get a train to london and watch arsenal...

if we lose tenza dont expect to see me around here, ill be hiding my head in shame lol...

I don't think Swedes hates us, as they really don't know much about us. For the Swedes their biggest rivalry is either Norway or Denmark. I've understood that a rivalry between Scotland and England is kinda same type; Scottish don't like England, but English don't really think anything about Scotland. The Finns hate or dislike towards Sweden comes from the history when Swedes ruled harshly over us for hundreds of years (used us in their wars, made us pay taxes for them, tried to destroy our culture and language, and so on - very typical story in many nations that suffered from an outside-ruler), before we got an autonomy under the Russian rule. So for them, there is no reason to hate us, but for us, there's plenty of reasons.

And it was nice to see them lose today :D

Come on...itll be a cold day in hell when usa mexico or central america win a world cup...the world cup will most likely be between south americans or brazil..and messi is just going in for surgery right now..so who knoes...scoccer is really unpredictable but take it from me I stated to many of my friends in 2010 that uruguay would make it farther than mexico and usa in the 2010 world cup and surely enough I was right 4th place ...I was scorned over overly prided mexicans and americans and I came out on top and walked away with a nice sum of money in bets so I ultimately had the last laugh...uruguay was and is in the same predicament mexico is right now but south american scoccer is just some serious scoccer like Europe and africa ...so my point is if it isnt a south american team that wins it will be European then african ...mark my words..

Against Ghana Uruguay was hella lucky though. Ghana would have made it, they were the better team.

Its just that the african teams lack the discipline, focus and strength of will when it comes to the decisive moments in the finals.

All my african co-workers have said that aswell.

I wouldnt mind Mexico winning the cup though. I like seeing underdogs succeed,

Ronaldo is maybe more an alround player then Zlatan but as a person i like Zlatan more.He got that thuggish ruggish u know what i mean.Ronaldo use to have his own mirror at Manchester to do his hair,Zlatan is more a man's man.Ronaldo even does his hair at half time. But i do agree he is now the best football player in Europe and maybe the world.

Yes, I know what you mean about Zlatan being a beast. Ronaldo is quite the opposite of Zlatan. I don't think there is too many people who would respect Ronaldo as a person outside of the field as he really seems to be a little too feminine. But no one can dispute that he wouldn't be an absolutely great player, and easily one of the bests. I used to over-look this guy for a long time, until I just had to admit that he is simply an outstanding player. And judging from the friendly match episode, where he refused to change shirts with Israel players (stating that he will never allie with massmurdering nation and have also donated millions to Gaza), made me think that maybe this guy is something more than what we see from him via media.

Yea, I understand where you come from. His attitude isn't always that good and he often feels like a stereotypical pretty-boy.

I just watched the Sweden - Portugal via SkySports stream, and the British commentator said in the end that "Zlatan likes to call himself a god, but Ronaldo plays like one". And tonight it sure looked like that. Amazing game from him.

Yeah Ronaldo won this one.But if Sweden would have more players like off the level Zlatan is he would have been better.Sweden just plays ol English kick and rush football.Look at Zlatans games at PSG.Look up the game Anderlecht-PSG.At Sweden he has to do to much. But Ronaldo was awesome.I don't want to take to much from him because he is a good player. It was plain to see.Zlatan has 4 defenders around in the box at all times and still he scored that header. There was nobody from Sweden around to pull some defenders to the side.In all offcourse Portugal is a much better team then Sweden and they deserve to go to Brazil. Also France went through. As for who will win the cup?Germany,Brazil,Spain if they are still hungry.I don't like Brazil they are a bit like Portugal always over acting.Outsiders always Italy if they can grow in the tournament they are always a force to be reckon with also because they have mastered the defensive style. They like winning ugly and Argentina offcourse.

Final Four
Brasil v. Germany (Germany wins 7-0)
Argentina v. Netherlands (Argentina win 4-2)

Germany v. Argentina [my guess Argentina wins, 3-1]

Gary Lineker said : "Football is a game that is played by 11 players, and at the end Deutchland win."
It says it all ! :P

@siner: It was hard for him (Scolari) to play without Thiago Silva and Neymar, 2 of his best players...
Just imagine what would be Argentina without Messi...
