Unread post by alexalonso » June 16th, 2013, 2:20 pm

Watching College World Series in baseball, NC State v. North Carolina and this guy Carlos Rodon, throws hear, 96 and 97 mph on his fastball. He appears to be the real deal for the next level.

i know nothing about this guy, just saw him pitching on ESPN.
Rodon was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 16th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft out of Holly Springs High School in Holly Springs, North Carolina. However, he decided not to sign and instead attended North Carolina State University.[1]

As a freshman in 2012, Rodon went 9-0 with a 1.57 ERA with 135 strikeouts in 117 innings pitched. He was the NCBWA Freshman Pitcher of the Year and an All-American.[2][3] He was also a finalist for the Golden Spikes Award.
He is from North Carolina.
