Ether was not just name-calling. It was about calling out Jay for who he was, a FRAUD. Jay is good rapper for the 106 and Park generation. He is the best. But when it came to the mid-90's (before 1998) generation when lyrics and talent got you over in this business, Jay was just a struggling average rapper who was about to retire before Hard Knock life blew up because he couldn't cut it as an artist.
