ANNOUNCING REMIX HOTEL LOS ANGELES 2005!
Due to the success of recent Remix Hotel events in New York, Miami &
Chicago
REMIX HOTEL GOES HOLLYWOOD NOVEMBER 4-6, 2005!

Join us at the Musicians Institute for this FREE three-day series of
workshops, seminars, product demonstrations, panel discussions and club
experiences geared toward professional and aspiring DJs, engineers,
producers, music fans, club owners and musicians.

Featuring:

HANK SHOCKLEE, TRICKY, DJ MUGGS & DAN THE AUTOMATOR TALK PRODUCTION!
Come see Hank Shocklee, Tricky, DJ Muggs, Troy Marshall, Fredwreck
Nassar
and others discuss record and radio production in the digital age. As
the
digital age has changed the way people listen to music, most producers
have
had to adapt their techniques in order to create records that translate
to a
new multi-platform digital audience. Similarly, radio has had to make
adjustments in their seemingly aging model as the convergence of music
and
technology is quickly changing the face of the industry.

KAYNE, EMINEM AND GWEN'S ENGINEERS TALK TECH!
Steve B. (Eminem, 50 Cent, The Game), Jean Marie Horvat (Babyface,
Neptunes,
Jennifer Lopez), Jan Fairchold (Gwen Stefani, Justin Timberlake),
Francis
Graham (Kanye West, Brandy) and more will sit in on the engineers
panel: how
to make your music sound great in the digital era.

FILM & TELEVISION AUDIO PRODUCTION IN THE DIGITAL AGE
Specialists in the industry talk about the hottest and latest audio
production and technological trends in Hollywood. An inside look at how
the
Oscar-winning studio producers, editors and mixers create masterpieces
that
are equally impressive in both theaters and consumer media players.

VJs & DJs: BREAKING NEW GROUND
DJ culture is growing at a rapid pace as more and more DJs go digital,
and
more and more VJs are hitting the scene. Armed with an arsenal of
laptops,
MP3s, video files, loops, mixers and samples, the dynamics of how they
entertain their audience has changed and is more impressive then ever.
Hear
all about how these DJs and VJs set up for their gigs, what new gear
and
technology they favor, live performance trends and how they keep their
audiences captivated when they put on their shows.

PANEL: MUSIC FOR FILM, TV & NEW MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES
Come to this exclusive panel discussion, and learn how to go about
getting
your music placed in the growing fields of film, television, video
games and
new media technologies through a discussion of the ins and outs of
licensing
music, publishing, composing, scoring and providing content for these
growing fields.

DON'T MISS LADIES ON THE MIC!
Ladies on the Mic Presents: Women in Music, Why Women Love Audio
Technology.
Attend this panel discussion at the state-of-the-art Musicians
Institute
concert hall during Remix and learn why it's no secret that too few
women
are engaged in pro audio work, but new technologies are making it
easier
than ever before for women in audio to work independently. These
producers,
musicians and engineers will discuss why it's important for women to
learn
the inner workings of audio technology, the pros and cons of working
independently and how they're making moves in the music world.
