List of links to every federal prison

Unread post by JAILexchange » February 23rd, 2011, 8:42 pm

There are actually 515 jails and prisons run by the federal government. We usually only think of the BOP when talking about federal prisons...but there are a lot more.

Here they all are.... all the information you'd want to know; inmate searches and a whole lot more:

This link will take to a list of every federal prison in the BOP: http://www.jailexchange.com/Search/Fede ... x?type=BOP You can view the list by type (USP, FCI, etc.) or by the state it's located in. (199 facilities)

If you're looking for the ICE detention centers, go here: http://www.jailexchange.com/Search/Fede ... x?type=ICE (175 facilities)

Native American Rez Jails: http://www.jailexchange.com/Search/Fede ... x?type=BIA (87 facilities)

Military Jails and Prisons: http://www.jailexchange.com/Search/Fede ... x?type=MIL (54 facilities)

@ alonso- Native Americans have jails on the reservations, that are not accessible by most Law enfrorcment agencies. There territorial rights are protected, so when native americans get in trouble on the reservation, they go to jail on there, not in regular jails

Is that right how did this happen, I never knew Native Indian reservations had their own jails, let alone their laws were exempt from ''state'' or ''Federal Laws''.

@ViciousRidah- I'm not sure on all of the specifics bruh. It's my understanding that the Treaty of Laramie, states that an indian cannot be arrested on a reservation by any police except Reservation police. The Native American police would arrest him and then deliver him to US authorities. The Reservation Land is almost like another country here in the states. This is a result of the harsh treatment sustained by Native Americans at the hands of early White Americans.

Yea I hear you Quepolo thanks for the heads up, but Native American Reservation land does have its perks and its cons.Ay are there any native lands where you at, I'm wondering what they would do if they catch a black dude doing some dirt in their neck of the woods. A brotha would definitely be assed out, I bet you they(natives) would do their own justice before they hand them over to the authorities.

Even though there were tribes here in Alabama, there are no reservations. They got a casino though. Now, I'm not sure but i think that if you are not Native American, you can be arrested by regular law enforcement on the reservation. That benefit is only for the Native Americans.
