This is exactly the way I felt at the march and felt my whole life in the u.s. My country and ehritage was constsntly picked ar, my weird first and last name constsntly brought to my attention, zi was cosntwntly different, harassed and this led to my low social phobia or low social skills and mostly sexless existnce and sexual frustration and loneliness where I only remembered and reminiscended about my life in the old country when I had pride zi wasnt different and could fight. I stayed in Poland for the last 6 months now and I got to say its a nice country. You can still see its socialist past, but it is also economically developing at a very fast pace. It is palpable on every corner. Mind you that I am in Warsaw.
Poland is a very torn country, like most European countries at the moment. It is ruled by a far-right party, which has most of its constituents on the countryside, while there is significant liberal opposition to it in the cities.
Warsaw and other cities are ruled by the opposition.
Poland has by no means as many foreigners as all western European countries I have been to, so I guess that is what is meant by the Last Bastion of Europe. Few foreigners. Which is not true because about 1 million Ukrainian refugees fled to Poland and are trying to make a living here.
But actually Vietnamese make up the biggest chunk of "identifiable" foreigners that I see here on an everyday basis, while at home it is clearly Turks.
But Poland is not as unanimously right-wing as Szczelec33/Invincible tries to make it seem. All my polish friends and coworkers here are pretty much open-minded and say that these Catholic right-wingers are retards and call them Catholiban and PiSlamists etc. (PiS is the Catholic right-wing party in charge here) Probably its because they live in Warsaw and not on the countryside.
So don't believe the propaganda, Poland is just as torn as most other countries.
