If you like mafia movies, you gotta watch Goodfellas. I love that shit! I have this movie.
If you liked this movie, then watch Casino. Same director, same actors, different movie. Wow...
Yes. Tommy was brutal, but he got what was coming to him. In this movie, he got shot in the back of the face.
In Casino, he got beaten to death by baseball bats and thrown to die alive and buried in the sticks.
Godfather was more of a phsyicologial classic, while this movie shows more of the violent sides.
Really!
I read somewhere that the real Goodfellas had something to do with the Luchese crime family. Jimmy the Gent was real, he died. Henry Hill is still alive and in the protection thing. I don't know if Tommy is even real, is he???

If you want a movie about Al Capone, watch The Untouchables. If you want a movie about John Gotti, watch Gotti.MafiaG wrote:Its str8 up bull$hit movie !!!!! i was expectin the real gangster movie and it sucked !!!!! an irish guy that aint even from the mafia works with another guy that aint even from the mafia willin to have a italian guy that works with them become a member of the lucheese family and the top dude shown on the movie is only a capo or captain in a mafia family, PHONY !!!!!!!
I think this movie outranks both of them. As Blakk said, watch the movie again, clear you're mind of all flamer crap, and speak then!

The back of the face?he got shot in the back of the face.

That picture is from Casino, not from Good Fellas. But I definetly have to agree with y'all : both films are great !A Ghost wrote:
- TOMMY : Come on, give us a couple of fuckin' steps, Spider you fuckin' bullshitter you ! Tell the truth, you lookin' for sympathy, is that it sweetie ?!
- SPIDER : Why don't you go fuck yourself, Tommy ?
Boos and cheers from THE CROWD.
- JIMMY : Am I hearing right or what, can't fuckin' believe my ears !!
Jimmy's pulling three 20 dollars bills.
- JIMMY : Here ! It's for you ! Atta boy ! Kid's gotta a lotta fuckin' balls ! You got that right : don't take no shit from nobody !
More cheers and laughing from THE CROWD.
Jimmy, still cheering, turns to Tommy who is cold as ice.
- JIMMY : Are you gonna let the fuckin' kid get away with that ? I don't believe it ! Where's the world going to ??!!
Tommy pulls a Colt .45 from his waistband and make a bullseye out of Spider's chest : BAM ! BAM ! BAM ! BAM ! BAM !
- TOMMY : Where's the world going ? How do you like that, huh ?!
GREAT SCENE !!!!!!!!
Tommy's real name was Tommy DeSimone, and was played by Joe Pesci in the film. The real life Tommy was much taller, although his menace was much the same.
Tommy was suspected of being on the Lufthansa job because an employee noticed one of the robbers had very shiny shoes (Tommy was well known for his dapper dressing and immaculate shoes).
He was murdered for a couple of reasons. First, he killed Batts, a made man of the Gambino crew. Second, he fooled around with another Gambino's wife. A made man as well, Foxy was in prison during this time, however, his capo did not want to exact revenge at that time. According to Joseph "Joe Dogs" Iannuzzi, Tommy Agro did the hit on DeSimone. Another possibility, although less supported, is that Paolo LiCastri was the hit man. In any case, a sit-down was conducted between Paul Vario and the Luccheses, and the Gambinos to order the hit.
