Chief Bratton quits LAPD
Chief Bratton will be stepping down as LAPD chief in October 2009 for a private security job. After 7 years he leaves. Next in line to be chief is either Earl Paysinger or Jim McDonnell. Any other choices?

i would also put Cuban born former LAPD assistant chief Geogre Gascon on that list too. He just got hired as San Fransisco Chief this week, but he has 28 years with the LAPD and I wouldn't consider him an outsider.

We need someone similar to Bratton. He done a good job I don't know why he didn't finish his term.
