Bounty Hunter Bloods & Grape St Crips

Unread post by uk_whitey » December 24th, 2008, 9:41 am

Was there rivalry fierce? What rappers were from these sets, if any?

Also what other big rivalries were there between Blood & Crip sets?

Cheers

Bounty Hunter rappers:
- Jay Rock
- O.F.T.B.

That's about all I know and for the war, apparently it was fierce...
Both set's are pretty big, reputation and number wise... so I'm guessing it was heated.

I guess Alonso wouldn't quote the beef between Grape St and the Hunters as being perhaps the 2nd bloodiest in LA county history for nothing. Isn't Watts always quoted as being one of the most dangerous places in the U.S.? That says it all.

Grapes vs Hunters is the 1st slobiest rival in history

only reason why ETG vs. 60s overshadows it was because "MONSTERS" book, the 60s have a lot to thank Monster for.... adding to their noteriety...

Even Monster knows his book meant nothing if it didn't include the 60s in it through its entirety.

not true, monster included the 60s cuz that was the biggest war with an enemy set, all Monsters book did is blow the 60s up to the masses......... if it wasn't for Monster's book the 60s wouldn't be recieving HALF the notoriety they have now, and you know that........they woulda just been another Rollin set..

your proving my point, they gained their notoriety from the Westwood murder (next to white folks), shoot outs at marina del ray (next to rich white folks and tourist spots), and shooting up lil babies (lil fee n' them), i guess its a smart way to gain publicity i'll give them that, good goin 60s....that'll show 'em who the most notorious is!

Have you ever heard of lil Monster before he was on Nightline?

I heard of 60s before ETG. Ice T, "Squeeze the trigger":

"from the Rollin 60s to the Nickerson G".

One of my favorite albums. I hadn't heard of ETG until Monster's book. But I'm not from LA, either. So, just giving my viewpoint.

That's crazy. I don't doubt it, though. I think that lyric where he says a "Mexican almost wrecked my sh--" was what prompted the Mexican rap group Proper Dos to diss him, too. I like Eazy and N.W.A. but Eazy was kind of like Rick James... a professional line stepper. LOL.
