And really thats the root of your problem once again, your like a little boy banging on his high chair, just crying. At the end of the day it is incumbent upon you to prove your equality to the white race. Meaning you personally. Its you who feels the way YOU do. All those BS lists you copy and paste from other sites you take as gospel. And your riding the acheivement of people other than yourself. Those lists are on the outside are 20% true. Just like reading a KKK pamphlet. poor guy, your idol FaraCON is, a has been, that never was...

I have this list that states Hanry T Sampson invented the cellular phone on July 6, 1971. But I guess that was a bit of an exaggeration. Iread those links and realized that this list I have infrom of me is inaccurate.

But I dont like the way some of the comments of this strig are going. Iam not blaming anyone or pointing the finger, but I will have to regulate if the silliness continues. it is clear that DX and Acme do not like each other, so ignore each other and if you want to continue this conflict take it too the yahoo groups. Oh ok, I will chill if DX does. But its kinda hard to sit back while some black nazi copies and pastes from his facist friends web pages. I mean does that go un answered. It's a sad state of affairs when someone is so stuck on stupid. NOI hollywood militants are nothing more than chronic malecontents who if you gave them the world would bitch that it wasnt done yesterday. I dont see any skinheads on here talking about nigger this and nigger that. Yet DX is more than happy to vomit his assinine nazi propoganda. This and I will stop, DX, you got nothin comin. Your a ego maniac with a low self esteem. Your delusional in you outlook upon the world around you and you are the exact reason black folks have a hard time getting ahead. Your message is so repelent that people of your own race just wanna say shut the fuck up. Remember in the movie Menace To Society and the wanna be muslim kid was sitting on the ice box and would pass Kane a brew? Kane said you better move you asa malaka lakum ass and pass me a mutha fuckin brew. Cracked me up. So maney black folks are so cool, and chilled out and just workin and strugglin like everyone else. Way more than are goose stepping through the hood trying to copy Hitler like you are. I remember pulling up to a stop light at 47th and Market in South East San Diego, there he was little suit and bow tie. I said, hey man, can a blue eyed devil buy a pie and a copy of the nation. You should have seen the look on his face, something right out of Amos and Andy. I said I m just kidding about that blue eyed devil stuff but I would like to try your pie and read your paper. He then went into how he knew all white folks were not devils blah blah blah. I said to him, in the gang world your what known as a buster, your afraid to say to my face what you say behind my back. Actually that made me more mad than what I know he says behind my back. I reached for the door handle and acted like I was gonna jump out a beat him. He turned and ran faster than Earl Campbell. What that tells me is this, ya got white punks who bark all kinds white power shit, you black punks that do the same, and then you got people just livin and doing their thing. DX, your a black punk...And just because blacks like Alonso are just livin and doing their thing does not make them disloyal to the race, it just that their not people who live in a constant state of fear so they can give others room to speak. You are so afraid of life and the world around you that you hide behind hate and intolerance. The people you say you love reject you at least 7 out of 10 times and you live in a constant state of fristration over it. You are sure all would be fine with the world if only all black people belived exactly how you do. If they all did, you would find something else to whine about. Becaue the problem is not the world, or whitey or anything other than yourself. But you do not have the courage to admit your short comings. I would bet my last dime you get zero pussy. Women aint wanting to hear all that self rightous BS. They are like most people, they wanna laugh and have a good time. But there is always the kling on's on the out skirts ranting and raving and pissing and moaning. Ruin everyones good time and thats you with your mental illness. Aint no one afraid of you, we just want you to grab a brew, kick it, and shut the f%ck up and enjoy life. Its too short and the wreckage your leaving behind only hurts black and white relations, it doesnt help a damn thing.

Same with them Jews that want money from the hollocaust and all that BS. Let's add a little balance:

(Okay, I see that everyone's trying to get on the civil tip. I can dig that, and will try and present my arguments respectfully, as much as is within me.)

True enough, many of the patents that were on DX's list, were and are (in many, but not all cases) improvements upon creations by the hands of white folks, HOWEVER-AREN'T ALMOST ALL CREATIONS OR INVENTIONS, FOLLOWING THAT SAME MODE OF OPERATION!! Most "inventions," are just mere improvements upon things that are already out there!

For example, before the calculator, you had the abacus, and some other primitive device. Before the M16 (AR-15), you had the BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle), yet they will give credit to Eugene Stoner for inventing the M-16, even though he didn't invent the concept, nor first machine gun.

I can cite other examples, but with that said, and without the intentions of "shitting" on anyone's list, or proposed list, here are some of my list of black inventors:

VALERIE THOMAS

She invented the illusion transmitter, which is a three-dimensional illusional television system for transmitting an illusion of an object.

GRANVILLE T. WOODS

He invented the synchronous multiplex railway telegraph, a device which enable moving trains to communicate with one another, helping to avoid possible accidents. Another invention was his electrical generator, which was patented on November 4, 1896. The device was used to vary, as desired, the strength of the electric current delivered to a required device thus preventing the overheating and burnouts of resistors. The significance of this invention was that it reduced the number of fires due to resistors over heating and led to a 40% savings in electricity.

JAMES E. WEST

James E. West is the co-inventor of the Foil Electret Microphone. The ruggedness, superior quality, and low cost of the foil electret microphone led to its adoption in appliances and applications from telephone to recorders to multimedia computer systems. Microphones using his design concept account for 90% of all microphones produced in the past decade (over ten billion units). The same fundamental electret configuration has found application in fields as diverse as radiation detectors, air filtration and blood-pressure measurement.

DR. SHIRLEY A. JACKSON

Dr. Shirley A. Jackson, a leading scientist in America, is one of the greatest contributors to the "true voice" abilities of the telephone system. During her childhood, she had an interest in science and math and she conducted many different experiments. On the honors program throughout school, she enrolled into MIT, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and became the first African American woman to receive a doctorate degree in the field of particle physics, an area of science that deals with matter and motion. Dr. Jackson also founded the first Black Student Union at MIT.

After college, Dr. Jackson became a leading scientist conducting successful experiments in theoretical physics. While working at Bell Laboratories, the research division of AT&T, Dr. Jackson advances in the field of telecommunications. This includes the development of the touch tone telephone, portable fax, solar cell and the fiber optic cables used to provide clear sound in overseas telephone calls. Receiving numerous awards, including the 1973 "Scientist of the Year" Award, Dr. Shirley Jackson's technical skills made possible Call Waiting and Caller ID.

All this information can be found on this website: http://www.blackinventionsmuseum.com

Here are some more:

JAN MATZELIGER-1852-1889

Jan Matzeliger developed a shoe lasting machine that would attach the sole to the shoe in one minute.

http://inventors.about.com/library/inve ... eliger.htm

DR. DANIEL HALE WILLIAMS

Dr. Daniel Hale Williams, a pioneer in open heart surgery was born in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. Attended formal schooling in Hare's Classical Academy in 1877 and received his M.D. from Chicago Medical College, Northwestern Medical School, in 1883. He helped to found the Provident Hospital and Training School for Nurses.

In 1893 Dr. Daniel Hale Williams performed the first open heart surgery by removing a knife from the heart of a stabbing victim. He sutured a wound to the pericardium (the fluid sac surrounding the myocardium), from which the patient recovered and lived for several years afterward. He established a training school for nurses. He was the first Surgeon in Chief to divide the Freemen's Hospital in Washington, D.C. into separate departments to treat specific conditions: Medical, Surgical, Gynecological , Obstetrical, Dermatological, Genito-Urinary, and Throat and Chest. In 1891 he founded the Provident Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, the oldest free-standing black owned hospital in the United States.

Dr. Williams was the only African-American in a group of 100 charter members of the American College of Surgeons in 1913. He founded and became the first vice-president of the national Medical Association. Dr. Williams was awarded by a bill in the Un ited States Congress in 1970 that issued a commemorative stamp in his honor.

http://www.princeton.edu/~mcbrown/display/williams.html

ELIJAH MCCOY

McCoy developed the “lubricating cup” for steam engines, which kept locomotives constantly lubricated, preventing frequent stops and overheating. He patented the lubricating cup in 1872. It represented the most profitable of his more than 58 patents, which included a folding ironing board and an automatic sprinkler.

http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0775694.html

I can list others, but folks get the point.

Now I'm not saying that blacks created everything, nor am I saying that blacks weren't creative at all. My main thrust of this post is to show, regardless of whether a black "invention", and creation, was an improvement, or wholly original ideal, the fact is, black folks did indeed make a contribution upon the historical landscape of technology and ingenuity, to where downplaying that reality, is racist in its' intent.

Both sides go to the extreme. The pro-black/afrocentric side that claims everything in regards to people and creations are, black is wrong, just as the white racist/eurocentric side who claims that black folks haven't contributed anything on the world's stage, let alone within this country. It is also extreme, again, to downplay what black folks had contributed, despite how one may claim to feel about it, because at least something was achieved.

Remember, some of the accusations from white racists and other non-blacks, lay in the fact that black folks didn't do NADA! And many of those devils will say that adamantly, despite what they may feel inwardly. So when something in the forms of creating and inventing do arise, that will ultimately benefit the legacy of black folks, and to shoot it down as being mere shit, then it just lets me know that it doesn't matter what black folks do, or what precedence they overcome, if a white racist or other non-black person wants to think negatively of black folks they will do so regardless, because of their own personal agendas.

If black folks aren't careful, they'll get caught up into trying to prove to these devils, exactly what black folks truly done, not knowing that in most cases-THEY WILL NEVER WIN!!! Especially if a group of people have hardened their hearts to your information, and already have a tightened, and intentional, preconceived agenda. That is why I strictly stick to defense, of the black historical record (as well as teaching mine own), buttressed with a strong offense, as opposed to going on a mission, trying to prove to other non-blacks how big and bad black folks are. Because if you begin to go down that course, then you may be seduced into going to the extreme notion of black folks being the founders of everything, including the creation of the sun, because of your self-esteem being smitten by a racist society that say's you haven't created shit, therefore your whole being is worthless. Trust me, it ain't worth it, and no one group of people ain't worth trying to curry to.

Be proud of who you are, and staunchly defend the record, and teach your people and your children, their history so that they can pass the info on to future generations, and defend it, if needs be.

Now mind you, I'm not speaking to no one in particularly, nor am I targeting anyone's beliefs system, I'm just calling it, like I see it.

And to Acme:

If someone who's an FOI ran away from you (that's if you're telling the truth), because he was scared to look you in the eye and call you a white devil, then he was a pussy, whose ass deserve to get beat. Man, I had muthafuckas put guns in my face and I still talked shit, but this fool (FOI) ran away from your physical presence and his doctrine. I can't respect a man like that, but hey, he probably had his reasons.

He was probably of small stature, whereas your size probably intimidated him, whereas myself, I'm 6 foot 4 inches, and a lean, muscular 250lbs, and have a black belt in Tang Soo Do (and am presently studying kenpo, cross trained with brazilian ju-jitsu). Plus I was a ranger in the U.S. Army, and have been locked up: which isn't saying much, but it is saying something. So probably he (the FOI) and my point of reference would be different...

If you're a racist, or use strident language, to where the general public knows where you stand, THEN ADMIT IT TO MUTHAFUCKAS FACES WHEN THEY APPROACH YOU!!! All they can do is kill you, beat that ass, or get their ass stomped, or killed!!!

DAMN IT, BE A MAN AND STAND YOUR GROUND LIKE A RIGHTEOUS WARRIOR, AND TO HELL WITH THE BS! If you gonna talk the talk, then walk the walk. Then again, I'm finished, and for the record, I do respect much of the teachings of the NOI, and feel that many of its' principles are solid for black folks-but I totally reject their theology, eschatology, any anything that deals with how they define deity.

But in the end, I'm not hating, just don't proselytize me, and don't be afraid of anyone. Peace...

*I hear what you're saying, but also remember, that much of black folks gripe with white oppression in the last century, had little to do with slavery, seeing as how most of those black folks, including ourselves, weren't slaves.

When black folks were asking for the right to vote, in the last century, that had nothing to do with slavery; when black folks fought for public accomodations, in the last century, that had nothing to do with slavery; when black folks wanted access to certain types of higher education, in the last century, that had nothing to do with slavery; when black folks first utilized the term "Black Power", in the last century, it had to with control of their own destinies, by way of their own communities, and this had nothing to do with slavery; when black folks were fighting against police brutality, in the last century, that had nothing to do with slavery; when black folks were wanting to be integrated in the U.S. Armed services, in the last century, that had nothing to do with slavery; When black folks had their communities burned down to the ground, during the bloody summer riots of 1918, when black WW1 veterans were being attacked and murdered by white mobs, and when flourishing black communities like Rosewood, and Greenwood, et al, were being destroyed, ALL IN THE LAST CENTURY, that had nothing to do with slavery! (And mind you, during this timeframe, the black crime rate, and illegitimacy rate, wasn't in the slightest, as high as it is today, so what was most of these white folks excuses back then, for the hate? Was it all based on black men raping white women? Also, according to most old timers, both white and black, black folks were a lot more humble, and displayed less vitriol and anger back then, as opposed to now, but white folks were enacting more physical violence upon those good "niggers" back then, than they do today! I have my theories on this one, but I refuse to stray from the topic, so let me move on...)

To me, folks attacking black folks, for being mad about what happened back in slavery, can be at times an intentional red-herring argument, seeing as how from a timeline's perspective-SLAVERY WAS KINDA LIKE YEARS AGO, RIGHT? So arguing over that one grievance solely, can make you appear to be someone on the lunatic fringe: NOT THAT YOU ARE, MIND YOU! Truth be told, black folks don't need to dwell on slavery, in order to put forth their grievances! HELL! They can look at the subsequent years that followed slavery on up until the greater portion of the twentieth century.

Let me end it here by saying that-yes, black folks may not be totally responsible for their asses being on the ground and knocked out of the chair, but like Al Sharpton said, just because someone knocks you out of your chair on Thursday, and your ass is still on the floor a week later, without even attempting to get up, THEN IT'S YOUR FAULT!! In other words, it's the fault of the "man" for knocking you down, and it will inevitably be your fault, if you don't attempt to get up.

But you see, there's no shame in being knocked down! Just make sure that when you're knocked down, you land on your back, because if you can look up, THEN YOU CAN GET UP!! Peace and I'm out for awhile...

Here are some more:

JAN MATZELIGER-1852-1889

Jan Matzeliger developed a shoe lasting machine that would attach the sole to the shoe in one minute.

Peace...
Excellent points brother!

Garrett Morgan
Morgan invented a gas mask, a traffic signal, and several other inventions.

not true, the gas mask was invented by an englishman John Robertson in 1825.

james Edward West
Black inventor, James West holds 47 U.S. and more than 200 foreign patents on microphones and techniques for making polymer foil-electrets.

he did come up with the foil-electret microphone, but did it in partnership with a german scientist.

Doctor Daniel Hale Williams
Doctor Daniel Hale Williams was a pioneer in open heart surgery.

thats not true,he did save a guy who was stabbed in the heart, but it does not qualify as open heart surgery, thats really grasping at straws.this is what open heart is:
What is “open-heart surgery”?

"Open-heart surgery"refers to a heart operation that requires the use of a heart-lung machine. The heart-lung machine takes over the function of the heart and lungs, referred to as cardiopulmonary bypass. This allows the surgeon to work on or within a heart that is not beating (contracting). The first open heart surgery was performed in 1953 when surgeons closed a hole between the upper chambers (atria) of the heart. The term open heart surgery, still used today, implies opening the heart, an operation which is necessary to repair defects or valves that lie within the chambers of the heart. The term open-heart surgery is also used in reference to coronary artery surgery, although the surgeons do not actually open the heart. During coronary artery surgery, the surgeons use the heart-lung machine to obtain a quiet heart while they operate on the coronary arteries, which lie on the surface of the heart.

obviuosly i dont have the time to refute alot of what is on this list,i will say that most of those black invention lists are baloney, not to mention if you read the lists carefully,a lot are just patents on things already invented.most of these sites are put together by people with a political ax to grind.

Your crossing hairs, and grasping for straws, in your mission to try and downplay outright black accomplishments, which is evident in the fact that you're using a codified definition of open heart surgery, insofar as what it eventually became defined as, as opposed to what it once was. I can use other examples, where the codification of a field, discipline, or action, had been changed, due to the times, but let me move on...

***but barber was never another name for surgeon, they TOOK UP surgery and dentistry because at the council of Tours in 1163, the clergy were forbidden to draw blood or to act as physicians and surgeons on the grounds that it was sacrilegious for ministers to draw blood from the human body.so The barbers took up the duties relinquished by the clergy.until 1461 the barbers were the only persons practicing surgery.that changed soon afterwards and then they were seen as two different entities(barber/surgeons vs surgeonsl.and they stopped being considered surgeons, because it became forbidden for them to do any, because surgeons were complaining about them, and thus laws were put into effect bringing that practice to an end.but anyway,it has nothing to do with what you claim williams did.its a stretch(to put it mildly)to say that because barbers were also performing surgery, you can then revise the history of heart surgery, who else was even attempting to do anything with the heart back then??what williams did was impressive, but it wasnt open heart surgery, and i bet he himself would be the first person to tell you that

this is true, she did indeed get a patent for it in 1980,but what has it been used for??have you or anyone else on this board ever seen one??and while reading the description of it("three-dimensional illusional television system for transmitting an illusion of an object.")
it sounds an awful lot like holograms.

GRANVILLE T. WOODS

He invented the synchronous multiplex railway telegraph, a device which enable moving trains to communicate with one another, helping to avoid possible accidents.

false,The first inventor to patent an induction telegraphy system for communicating to and from moving trains was William W. Smith (US Pat. #247127, Sept 13, 1881). The first to attain practical success was Lucius Phelps, who patented his railway telegraph in 1884 (#307984) and successfully demonstrated it on the New York, New Haven & Hartford railroad in January of 1885. The feat was hailed in Scientific American on Feb. 21, 1885. At that time Granville Woods hadn't even applied for a patent on, nor had he built, an actual railway telegraph.

are you saying she invented these things??or just that she worked at at&t,and was part of a team that built these things??
because the first fax machine dates back to the early part of the last century:

the touch tone telephone:

i dont think she personally invented anything at all, this is typical afrocentric sleight of hand.
the others i think we went over, and the remaining two ,ill look into later.

My .02 cents says that blacks have actually done a lot in both creating and improving on things. And they did that for many years without the benefit of the education that whites and asians got. I'd say that says a lot for their tenacity and inherent intelligence.

But that's just me.

-Doctor Daniel Hale Williams

*To hell with what the term "open heart surgery" eventually became known as, the fact of the matter is, based on the time, and technology, and medical wherewithal that was demonstrated by Dr. Daniel Hale Williams, he performed a successful-the first successful-surgery on the heart, by way of removing a knife!

Your crossing hairs, and grasping for straws, in your mission to try and downplay outright black accomplishments, which is evident in the fact that you're using a codified definition of open heart surgery, insofar as what it eventually became defined as, as opposed to what it once was. I'm making the claims that I am making, and wish you would adequately deal with the information that I specifically put up, instead of going under every nook and cranny to dismiss, or belittle it, just because you have an underbelly of racist angsts you have to deal with.

Man, your attacks upon my positions are like water balloons being thrown up against a brick wall-IT DISSIPATES AND GOES ASUNDER, BECAUSE IT'S NOT SOLID ENOUGH TO PENETRATE!!!
i suggest you go back and look at the post again,i looked at the list you put up,and found them full of the usual B.S.
go back and carefully read the entire post, the parts marked in white have my replies to your silly claims.and "dumb devil"??,your bowtie is starting to show, lol.
*Silly bitch, you still haven't proven shit to me. As I said before, go over all of my information, and find where it's lacking!! You seem to be up on it, in regards to exposing the "real deal", then "expose" my information for being the "BS" you claim it to be. What it is, you just don't want to credit black folks for SHIT! That's how you roll!

Look here sucker paul, devil son of a bitch, just because you say it's BS, doesn't make it so, and just because you come off with an air of confidence in "defeating" my information, and the concepts that followed, doesn't mean you're hitting anything, either local or long distance. Devil, you're just an intellectual, spindly worm, just like that weasel muthafucka in the movie "The Warriors", telling folks to come out and play-yay! LOL!

And lastly fool, I understand your "bowtie" reference is imparted to infer that I am a member of the Nation of Islam, just because I call you a "devil." Well look fool, I've never been a muslim, nor member of the Nation of Islam, and it doesn't take anyone, including Stevie Wonder and Jose Feliciano, to look at you, and determine that you're a devil! LOL! A twisted, slinky, belowstairs, assheaded, DEVIL!!!

Hell, I didn't know it was a secret! MY BAD!

Hell, at one time, barbers were considered surgeons, and dentists, and performed many primitive operations, that are akin to what a dentist and surgeon would perform at the time, however as time progressed-BARBERS WERE DROPPED FROM THESE TITLES AND PROFESSIONS, THAT ARE EARMARKS OF A DENTIST AND A SURGEON, BECAUSE OF CHANGING TIMES AND PERCEPTIONS, AS WELL AS ADVANCES IN THE DISCIPLINES OF DENTISTRY AND SURGERY!!!

***but barber was never another name for surgeon, they TOOK UP surgery and dentistry because at the council of Tours in 1163, the clergy were forbidden to draw blood or to act as physicians and surgeons on the grounds that it was sacrilegious for ministers to draw blood from the human body.so The barbers took up the duties relinquished by the clergy.until 1461 the barbers were the only persons practicing surgery.that changed soon afterwards and then they were seen as two different entities(barber/surgeons vs surgeonsl.and they stopped being considered surgeons, because it became forbidden for them to do any, because surgeons were complaining about them, and thus laws were put into effect bringing that practice to an end.but anyway,it has nothing to do with what you claim williams did.its a stretch(to put it mildly)to say that because barbers were also performing surgery, you can then revise the history of heart surgery, who else was even attempting to do anything with the heart back then??what williams did was impressive, but it wasnt open heart surgery, and i bet he himself would be the first person to tell you that

bviuosly i dont have the time to refute alot of what is on this list,i will say that most of those black invention lists are baloney,

*Then take on my list! I'll be glad to engage you!

valerie thomas:invented the illusion transmitter
this is true, she did indeed get a patent for it in 1980,but what has it been used for??have you or anyone else on this board ever seen one??and while reading the description of it("three-dimensional illusional television system for transmitting an illusion of an object.")
it sounds an awful lot like holograms.

DR. SHIRLEY A. JACKSON

Dr.

Shirley Jackson's technical skills made possible Call Waiting and Caller ID.

are you saying she invented these things??or just that she worked at at&t,and was part of a team that built these things??

*likewise, most of you folks, who decry either real, or imagined, black inventions, and go over the meadows and through the woods, while leaping over the grand canyon, hoping to land in a handstand, just to prove how black folks creations weren't really all that original, and if they were, THEY WEREN'T REALLY ALL THAT-HAS A RACIST/POLITICAL/SOCIAL "ax(sic) to grind", as well!!!

Believe me, I have my reasons for asking!

-the only sites you see saying these things are afrocentric websites.on the other hand, the sites you can go to challenge these claims, are rarely "racist/political".

*That's BS, and if you believe that, then I definitely have an ocean to sell, in one of the eastern seaboard states. But you see, I don't believe you! You see, I figure you to be a clandestine, covert, belowstairs racist, who at the very least, has convinced yourself that you're not, while you obsess in proving and rationalizing, that black folks didn't create a damn thing of worth and significance; with the exception being in the field of arts.

Naw man, I'm on to your game and style of play...

-blacks have invented things and made contributions(and why hasnt anyone mentioned black achievements in the arts??)but when it comes to technological inventions, blacks have not been in the same league as whites or asians, period,THE END.

*Dumb devil, me pointing out the inventors in my specific post HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH WHETHER OR NOT "blacks" being "in the same league as whites or asians", FOOL!!! The information that I put up, was put up mainly to highlight black folks contributions in the world of "technological inventions"-something that you reeeeeeeaaaaaallly can't counter, or factd that you can't destroy, so what your fiendish ass does, is throw in a caviat after your acknowledging black folks contributions to technology, by saying that "blacks" even though contributing to the world of technology, it still hasn't "been in the same league as whites or asians." Unread post by TheReal » August 20th, 2004, 11:21 am

This is my reply to shadoworder:

Okay devil, you want to play fast and loose with the facts, then let’s break it down so thoroughly, to where a fool can’t miss it:

In my first foray onto this board, regarding black inventions, this is the premise I stated as it relates to the concept of inventions (a principle I haven’t swayed from in the least):

And it’s true, many of what we call inventions are improvements upon things that have already been created, or thought of, but over the years the concept, or creation, from many different hands, contributed to either its’ improvement, or something totally different altogether. Only when the hands that are doing the improving are black, do devil bitches like you, catch hissy fits, and get your panties all up in a bunch, by going over the meadow and through the woods, just to prove otherwise, because again, you’re a racist, who don’t want to give black folks credit for shit!!!

For example, let’s begin with the case of Shirley Jackson, I posted up from a website, this information:

After college, Dr. Jackson became a leading scientist conducting successful experiments in theoretical physics. While working at Bell Laboratories, the research division of AT&T, Dr. Jackson advances in the field of telecommunications. This includes the development of the touch tone telephone, portable fax, solar cell and the fiber optic cables used to provide clear sound in overseas telephone calls. Receiving numerous awards, including the 1973 "Scientist of the Year" Award, Dr. Shirley Jackson's technical skills made possible Call Waiting and Caller ID.

Whereas you said:

are you saying she invented these things??or just that she worked at at&t,and was part of a team that built these things??

My response:

Again devil, you’re splitting hairs!!! In this post that you’re quoting of mine, that was taken from a website, it specifically states that she “became a leading scientist conducting successful experiments in theoretical physics”, and that she also assisted in “the development of the touch tone telephone, portable fax, solar cell and the fiber optic cables used to provide clear sound in overseas telephone calls.” No where did I ever say that she originated any of those things.

Remember, as I said before, so say I now again, an invention comprises something that is a new creation (device or PROCESS [remember the abacus and the rifle analogy], resulting from study and experimentation! Whereas an inventor is “a person which creates new inventions, typically mechanical or electrical machines or other devices of practical use. Though some inventors may also be scientists, most base their work on the discoveries of other scientists, experimenting with practical applications and combinations of those discoveries, and with improvements and combinations of existing devices, to create new useful devices.”

http://www.wordiq.com/definition/Inventor

Pay close attention to the last sentence of this paragraph, where it says “. Though some inventors may also be scientists, MOST . Though some inventors may also be scientists, most base their work on the discoveries of other scientists, experimenting with practical applications and combinations of those discoveries, and with improvements and combinations of existing devices, to create new useful devices.”

So what I am saying, or better yet asking, devil?? Well, I guess I am asking you, whether or not Shirley Jackson was a scientist, or not, and if she were, then the definition of what she contributed to, in the DEVELOPMENT, of certain applications within telecommunications, AGAIN, doesn’t compromise her as going under the banner of being classified as and inventor!

Can't you understand anything hell spawn?

This fool said:

because the first fax machine dates back to the early part of the last century:
http://inventors.about.com/library/inventors/blfax.htm

My response:

Again fool, in your attempts to besmirch black folks true historical legacy, in the fields of science and technology, you openly and unashamedly, put your foot in your mouth. The post that you’re quoting of mine concerning Shirley Jackson, IT NEVER STATED THAT SHE INVENTED THE FAX MACHINE, FOOL!!!! Rather, it states that she assisted with the “development” of the fax machine, in the sense that new innovations were attached to this device, which falls back under what a scientist does, in regards to INVENTING, based on the above definition I put up, of what comprises an inventor!!

Not only that, in the same post you put up, concerning the history of the fax machine, and its’ subsequent development, it listed other pioneers of this device (fax machine) and the contributions they’ve attached thereof! Are they not inventors??? Again, it’s like someone asking about the creation of the gun, yet will claim that John Browning as an inventor, in the world of firearms, not because he was the first to conceptualize, or invent the gun, rather because HE MADE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE GUN, AS WELL AS CREATED NEW WAYS OF UTILIZING IT (the gun): YET HE IS CALLED AN INVENTIVE GENIUS!!!!! But when black folks come on the scene, and do the exact same thing, THAT’S WHEN RACIST DEVILS LIKE YOU, WANT TO CHANGE THE RULES!!! (Like the open heart surgery thing, but that's further on down this post...)

That’s why I call you a “silly little bitch”, because that’s exactly what you are, a silly little, duncical, latently racist, BEEEEYATCH! LOL!

Furthermore, in the original information that I put up, as it relates to the fax-IT SAYS THAT SHE ASSISTED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PORTABLE FAX, FOOL BASTARD!!!!!! It say’s nothing about her inventing a fax machine! Damn, you’re a dumb devil are you?

This fool said:

-caller id:
http://inventors.about.com/library/inve ... phone4.htm

*Man are you serious?? Who gives a fuck about “caller id”, and who invented it???? I never said anything about “caller id”, neither does the post in question, FOOL! Right now, you’re really trying to squeeze blood from a turnip, in your attempts to throw down with the kid…

-the touch tone telephone:
http://www.bellsystemmemorial.com/image ... ephone.jpg

*Again, spindly, backboneless, slinky weasel devil, THE POST I PUT UP NEVER CLAIMED SHE INVENTED THE TOUCH TONE TELEPHONE, RATHER IT STATED THAT SHE ASSISTED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE TOUCH TONE TELEPHONE, SIMILAR TO HOW OTHER INNOVATIONS ARE MADE, ON EXISTING DEVICES!!! LIKEWISE, AS A SCIENTIST/INVENTOR, HER CONTRIBUTIONS FOLLOW IN THE SAME LEAGUE OF A SCIENTIST/INVENTOR WHOM “base their work on the discoveries of other scientists, experimenting with practical applications and combinations of those discoveries, and with improvements and combinations of existing devices, to create new useful devices.”

http://www.wordiq.com/definition/Inventor

So what the fuck are you talking about??

-i dont think she personally invented anything at all, this is typical afrocentric sleight of hand.
the others i think we went over, and the remaining two ,ill look into later.

*Who gives a fuck what you think…Of course a latently racist imp like you wouldn’t want to think that way about this woman, just because she’s black, PERIOD!!! And if anyone’s using a “sleight of hand”, it’s you devil, with your weak parrying and feinting, within your argumentation, concerning the present subject matter…

Let’s move on:

He implied I said:

Garrett Morgan
Morgan invented a gas mask, a traffic signal, and several other inventions.

Whereas he said:

not true, the gas mask was invented by an englishman John Robertson in 1825.

Whereas I replied:

*Where in my list did I say that Garrett E. Morgan INVENTED THE GAS MASK????? In your attempts to try and detach black achievement from its' rightful place, don't bludgeon my arguments, while linking it to what you perceive as weak links!

Whereas he replied:

***where in your list did you say it??i dont know, because you see,i wasnt replying to your post,i was replying to the post by d.x..

My response:

It doesn’t matter who you were responding to, why? Because the purpose of me asking you that question, was partly rhetorical, as well as the fact that I was wanting you to steer your criticisms onto my information totally, and not mix up my posts, or anything that I’ve said, with what D.X. has put out there. Furthermore, for new folks joining this discussion, I didn’t want them to be confused on whom you were addressing, seeing as how-if I’m not mistaken-your reply to me, directly followed a post that I had initially put up!

He said:

-maybe if you went back and read what i wrote a little more carefully, you wouldnt end up sticking your foot in your mouth.

My response:

No fool, it’s not about reading what you “wrote a little more carefully”, seeing as how I’ve just given the proper context, on why I responded to you accordingly!! In the post where I was addressing the Garrett Morgan information, you made no distinction or separation, between what I was posting up, and what D.X. was posting up. Again, you combined your attacks upon both of our posts, which could inevitably lead folks to believe that I used the Garrett Morgan reference, when in reality, it was D.X. AND NOT THE KID!!

So if anything, reading your BS “a little more carefully”, wouldn’t assist anyone with not “sticking” their “foot” in their “mouth.” If anything, it would be better for folks to read the entire thread, including D.X.’s and then mine (for I succeeded D.X.’s information), in order for them to get the full and proper meaning and distinction, between the two of us, and the information that follows, instead of reading the words of a deceptive troll, who’s a master of art and deception!

And here you are accusing me of having my “foot” in my “mouth,” devil! That’s why I call you a silly little bitch, because like a bitch, you’re not going to let logic get in the way of your BS emotional appeals. Truth be told, even though it will never happen, I’d rather have my FOOT in my mouth, than to be like you, AND HAVE A DICK IN MY MOUTH!!!! LOL!!! Then again, I did say that you were a silly little bitch, right?

NEXT!!!

He said:

and furthermore,if you consider pointing out a historical falsehood to be an attempt to"detach black achievement from its rightful place"then your obviously not as objective as you claim to be.

My response:

Naw fool, you’re not that slick, because within the context of me saying “In your attempts to try and detach black achievement from its' rightful place,” I attached the following proviso, which stated: “don't bludgeon my arguments, while linking it to what you perceive as weak links!”

In essence, nickel slick bitch, I was forewarning you not to attach any of what I said, with anyone else’s arguments that you may “perceive as weak links!” Obviously you viewed D.X.’s example of using Garrett Morgan as a piece of information you felt that you could adequately pounce upon, therefore you included his information on Morgan, with mine, whereby I wanted to make a sole distinction between the two of us, thus my attack on you: which is something I explained earlier.

And hell yeah, I will accuse you of trying to “detach black achievement from its rightful place," when you engage in “sleight of hand”, delivery of your arguments! Not only that fool, regardless of whether the information you attack is true or false, your whole mode of behavior, in regards to black folks and their true historical legacy, is to DETACH BLACK ACIEVEMENT FROM IT’S RIGHTFUL PLACE: BLACK FOLKS!!! Why? Because in the end, you’re not objective, but a closet white supremacist, who tries to appear as a rational and objective, mild-mannered devil, who just comes upon facts and objectively reports them, as if there’s no deleterious agenda attached!

So hell yeah I stand by my position, in accusing you, of what I accused you of, and will not falter from it!

NEXT!!!!

He said:

-james Edward West

My response:

The problem is the fact that, AGAIN, you will go over the meadows and through the woods, and look under every nook and cranny, to try and diminish and downplay, black folks inventive genius, while claiming your only doing it in the name of historical honesty and accuracy.

But that’s besides the point, the point is, that I used the term “hate”, to encompass your overall modus operandi, and approach to this topic of black achievement. You see, with you, it’s not so much that you really believe black folks haven’t achieved nothing in the world of technological advancement, rather, with a racist/white supremacist mindset that you possess-YOU DON’T WANT TO BELIEVE THAT BLACK PEOPLE CREATED ANYTHING AT ALL, IN THE FIELDS OF TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT, BECAUSE IT WOULD COMPROMISE HOW YOU WANT TO INTENTIONALLY FEEL ABOUT BLACK FOLKS, THEREFORE JUSTIFYING CERTAIN POSITIONS AND STANCES YOU HAVE ABOUT THE WORLD, AND WHERE YOU FALL IN IT!

Stating the fact that old James partnered with a white man, isn’t a crime in and of itself, but what is, is your motives and intents, in putting forth such information, which led to me calling you someone, tantamount to being a “hater”, BECAUSE THAT’S JUST WHAT YOU ARE, DESPITE HOW DIPLOMATIC AND OBJECTIVE YOU TRY TO COME OFF AS! SO WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM???

Did I answer your question, fool?! If not, oh well! You’re probably just that slow…

My response:

First of all, eurocentrist, I’m not “desperate” for anything, regarding Dr. Daniel Hale Williams being a pioneer in the field of open heart surgery. And yeah fool, I read your links, and what the codified definition of what heart surgery eventually became defined as, as opposed to what it was before! Fact of the matter is, until you prove otherwise, Dr. Williams was the first to successfully perform open heart surgery by examing the patients heart, which led to him suturing the wound around the pericardium, which is the sac surrounding the heart!!!

http://www.britannica.com/blackhistory/ ... 40/65.html

Furthermore, here’s more information concerning Dr. Williams, and his magnificient feat, from off of websites (like the one above) that have little to do, if at all, with your afrocentrists boogeymen:

“On September 6, 1893, Dr. Williams faced his biggest challenge. A young man, James Cornish, who was stabbed in the chest with a knife, was brought to the hospital. Dr. Dan realized Mr. Cornish's heart was bleeding and that he had to open his young patient's chest in order to save his life. Dr. Williams carefully repaired a damaged blood vessel with special equipment to stop the bleeding. After a few weeks of recovery, Mr. Cornish was able to walk out of the hospital. This was the first successful open heart surgery.”

Or how about this site:

“Dr Daniel Hale Williams performs 1st successful open heart surgery without anesthesia”

http://www.brainyhistory.com/events/189 ... 64543.html

A strong afrocentrist site, right devil? WRONG!!

But that’s okay, let’s proceed further, how about this one ardent afrocentrist site (LOL):

“One hot summer night in 1893, a young Chicagoan named James Cornish was stabbed in the chest and rushed to Provident. When Cornish started to go into shock, Williams suspected a deeper wound near the heart. He asked six doctors (four white, two black) to observe while he operated. In a cramped operating room with crude anesthesia, Williams inspected the wound between two ribs, exposing the breastbone. He cut the rib cartilage and created a small trapdoor to the heart.
Underneath, he found a damaged left internal mammary artery and sutured it. Then, inspecting the pericardium (the sac around the heart) he saw that the knife had left a gash near the right coronary artery. With the heart beating and transfusion impossible, Williams rinsed the wound with salt solution, held the edges of the palpitating wound with forceps, and sewed them together. Just 51 days after his apparently lethal wound, James Cornish walked out of the hospital. He lived for over 20 years after the surgery. The landmark operation was hailed in the press.”

Mind you, this the same pbs website, your devil ass is trying to use against my information regarding Dr. Daniel Hale Williams, and his performing open heart surgery. You know it’s funny, because, despite what you post up about PBS and its’ information concerning open heart surgery, that very same website even has to stop the hate, and acknowledge Dr. Williams contributions for what it truly was, which is evident by the sheer fact that they credit Dr. Daniel Hale Williams in performing the “First successful open heart surgery.”

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/partners/e ... s_txt.html

This is what your precious website says devil!!! These are your people, and not only that, in the pbs link you posted up, it didn’t deny, nor even came close to mentioning anything about who performed the first successful open heart surgery, rather it dealt with “pioneers” of heart surgery, and those surgeons that utilized new techniques, in the performance of open heart surgery, fool!!!! Man read over your OWN shit, instead of trying to pass off your stench, as being scholarly critiques.

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/heart/pioneers.html

And I’m not surprised that this portion of the site doesn’t deal adequately with the legacy of Dr. Williams, because that’s what latently racist white folks, who convince themselves that they’re being fair DO!!!! That’s how they roll! You see, the information on Dr. Daniel Williams is undeniable, so that’s why they post it on their website, HOWEVER, if they can find a loop hole in discussing open heart surgery, and word the topic of discussion carefully, so that they wouldn’t have to include Dr. Daniel Hale Williams-THEN ALL IS FAIR IN THE LAND OF TRICKERY AND DECEPTION!!! And this is exactly what occurred on this pbs website, to where puny, internet intellects like you, run to, in order to seek out the latest offering!

And that second website you posted up, mentioned Dr. Lillehei as being the “father of MODERN open heart surgery”, fool-NOT THE FATHER OF OPEN HEART SURGERY, NOR THE FIRST PERSON TO PERFORM OPEN HEART SURGERY!!!!! And this information was gleaned from your precious geocities website: A BASTION OF DEEP KNOWLEDGE AND INTELLECT!!! LOL!! Devil you’re a joke!

http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/1652/htcod5.html

And as far as this website:

http://mbbnet.umn.edu/doric/lillehei.html

Again, it states that Dr. Lillehei, was not just the “father of modern open heart surgery”, as your precious geocities website put’s forth (modern, as opposed to primitive or original), rather, this website refers to him as a mere “pioneer”, YET DEVILS LIKE YOU, WOULD PROBABLY VIEW THAT AS A GREAT FEAT, BUT IF THE PERSON WHO WAS A PIONEER WAS BLACK-THEN DEVILS LIKE YOU, BECAUSE OF YOUR SERPENT LIKE, AND RABID HATRED FOR BLACK FOLKS, WOULD THEN TRY AND FIND SOME POSSIBLE WAY IN DIMINISHING THEIR GENIUS, BY HIGHLIGHTING WHAT I AM, ABOUT THIS MAN (Dr. Lillihei), BY PLACING GREAT EMPHASIS ON THE FACT THAT HE WAS A “PIONEER,” (not the sole, nor the original), OR THAT IF HE WERE A “FATHER”, IT WAS OF THE PRACTICE OF “MODERN” OPEN HEART SURGERY, WHICH IS FAR DIFFERENT THAN THE ORIGINATOR, OR “FATHER” OF THE FIRST OPEN HEART SURGERY!!!!

Fool, you can’t get around me devil, nor can you hide your horns and pitchfork, despite your calm and rational, fake demeanor! I know how you roll, and what you’re rolling with!!!

But you know what, let’s revisit the accusation I leveled at you earlier concerning the Garrett Morgan controversy, in which you tried to respond righteously towards, because I feel the principle in which you attempted to invoke, most definitely applies here, and is ubiquitous for this type of discussion:

“if you consider pointing out a historical falsehood to be an attempt to"detach black achievement from its rightful place"then your obviously not as objective as you claim to be.

Now, you, and other folks may wonder why I’ve posted this piece up, seeing as how I’ve dealt with this earlier, and I can understand the frustration, HOWEVER, when I claimed that this devil is trying to “detach black achievement from its rightful place”, not only was I referring to the Garrett Morgan controversy specifically, but the way this fool totally operates, when it comes to black folks and his intentional assessments of their accomplishments.

For example, concerning Dr. Daniel Williams, and his brilliant open heart surgery performance, this devil said:

“NO ONE besides desperate afrocentrists consider this guy to have been the pioneer of open heart surgery.he did a good thing in saving that mans life, but it was not open heart surgery.if i got a tweezer, some antibacterial lotion, and some bandages, and removed a painful wart from my body, can i then claim that i performed cosmetic surgery on myself??can i then consider myself a cosmetic surgeon??”

Do you see the depths of depravity, that this wily serpent possess? He equates Dr. Daniel Williams accomplishment in performing the first open heart surgery, with removing “a painful wart” from his “body”, which could possibly lead some to believe that he was doing the work of a “cosmetic surgeon!” Fool, first of all, I don’t think you have the mental wherewithal to become a surgeon, let alone get into medical school; secondly, removing “a painful wart from your body,” whether it will allow you to be considered a cosmetic surgeon in no way diminishes the fact that if you did successfully remove a “painful wart”, here in our modern times, I can guarantee that you wouldn’t be considered in no way fashion A PIONEER, OR FOUNDER OF THAT TYPE OF EXTRACTION; nor would your minor miracle-COMPARE TO WHAT DR. DANIEL HALE WILLIAMS PERFORMED, WHEN HE OPENED THE CHEST CAVITY OF JAMES CORNISH AND SUCCESSFULLY SUTURED THE WOUND AROUND THE PERICARDIUM, WHICH IS THE SAC SURROUNDING THE HEART!!!!!

Again devil son of a bitch, your supposed extraction of “a painful wart,” is in no way tantamount, neither does it have a direct, or implied correlation, with someone who not only performed the first successful surgery in a particular field (let alone being a pioneer, or the father of a particular subspecialty, within a certain field), IT’S NOT AS REVOLUTIONARY, SEEING AS HOW AT THE TIME WHEN DR. WILLIAMS PERFORMED SURGERY ON THE HEART, THE HEART WAS CONSIDERED A TABOO IN THE FIELD OF MEDICINE, AND SOMETHING NOT TO BE TAMPERED WITH!!!!!

Removing a damn wart isn’t as revolutionary fool, and the fact that you would sink to such lows, in using such a weak analogy, such shows how “desperate” a degenerate eurocentric/white supremacist, piece of hog shit like you, truly are, in trying to “detach black achievement from its rightful place!!”

In conclusion, none of what you’ve said about the greatly esteemed Dr. Daniel Hale Williams matches up! Or like you rednecks love to say, “That dog don’t hunt!” LOL!!!

NEXT!!

I said:

Hell, at one time, barbers were considered surgeons, and dentists, and performed many primitive operations, that are akin to what a dentist and surgeon would perform at the time, however as time progressed-BARBERS WERE DROPPED FROM THESE TITLES AND PROFESSIONS, THAT ARE EARMARKS OF A DENTIST AND A SURGEON, BECAUSE OF CHANGING TIMES AND PERCEPTIONS, AS WELL AS ADVANCES IN THE DISCIPLINES OF DENTISTRY AND SURGERY!!!

Whereas he said:

***but barber was never another name for surgeon,

My response:

Again devil, you’re splitting hairs! The fact that Barbers performed surgery, is what made them surgeons, regardless of whether or not they were officially considered Barber/surgeons, or surgeons proper-which they were!!! BARBERS AT ONE TIME WERE SURGEONS, FOOL, AND THERE’S NO WAY OF GETTING AROUND THAT FACT!!

-they TOOK UP surgery and dentistry because at the council of Tours in 1163, the clergy were forbidden to draw blood or to act as physicians and surgeons on the grounds that it was sacrilegious for ministers to draw blood from the human body.so The barbers took up the duties relinquished by the clergy.until 1461 the barbers were the only persons practicing surgery.that changed soon afterwards and then they were seen as two different entities(barber/surgeons vs surgeonsl.

*And what’s your point bitch…

-and they stopped being considered surgeons,

*Hmmm…it’s interesting that you would now say that barbers at one point in history, “stopped being considered surgeons,” seeing as how you tried to contradict me, when I said that “at one time, barbers were considered surgeons,” whereupon you attacked this statement with your BS, when you said, “but barber was never another name for surgeon.”

Barbers at one time were surgeons, were considered surgeons, and were for a brief amount of time, in certain locales, THE ONLY SURGEONS: THEREFORE SURGEONS!!!!

Remember about the going over the meadow and through the woods analogy?

This fool goes on to say:

-because it became forbidden for them to do any, because surgeons were complaining about them, and thus laws were put into effect bringing that practice to an end.

*(Zzzzzz…zzzzz) Wake me up when this bitch is finished…(zzzzz….zzzzzz…)

but anyway,it has nothing to do with what you claim williams did.

*I never said it had anything to do with what “williams did!” The only reason why I used the barber/surgeon analogy, is to highlight how certain practices, within a genre evolve, similar to what was once considered a firearm in one century, when the matchlock and flintlock were utilized, all the way to what we now perceive today as being a firearm. Likewise, the same with what eventually became open heart surgery, as opposed to what it eventually became codified into being!!

Almost every advancement in medicine, had a somewhat, to outright, crude beginnings, FOOL, and open heart surgery WASN’T ANY DIFFERENT!!! Another thing, by going back to the barber/surgeon analogy, I showed how the concept and codification of what it is to be considered a surgeon, eventually evolved into!!!!!!!

-its a stretch(to put it mildly)to say that because were also performing surgery, you can then revise the history of heart surgery, who else was even attempting to do anything with the heart back then??

*Read my above explanation, as well as the context of why I originally used the barber/surgeon analogy!! And while you’re reading find WHERE I EVER CLAIMED THAT THERE WAS OPEN HEART SURGERY “back then???” Are you that slow devil???

But speaking of stretches, muthafucka it was you who tried to use the analogy of removing a wart, with that of cosmetic surgery, in order to prove to me how fallacious it was to compare what Dr. Daniel Hale Williams accomplished (first successful open heart surgery), to the modern, codified definition of open heart surgery

-what williams did was impressive,

*More than what you could ever produce…

-but it wasnt open heart surgery, and i bet he himself would be the first person to tell you that

*WRONG DEVIL!!! It was open heart surgery, and in the end, HOW IN THE FUCK CAN YOU BET ON, WHAT THIS MAN WOULD SAY, SEEING AS HOW HE’S DEAD!!!! What it is, is that you “desperate” eurocentrists aren’t calling it “open heart surgery”, because of some sick, twisted obsession, you beasts have in not wanting to give black folks credit for their true historical legacies!!!!

Your shit is old as eternity, and is easily discernable!

In the end, Dr. Daniel Hale Williams was a pioneer in the field of cardio surgery, and did indeed perform the first successful, open heart surgery, regardless of what high brow, eurocentric scholars would try to utilize as arguments to the contrary. Again, you fools are nothing more than hair splitters, making the sum total of what many of you say, NOT ESTIMABLE!

*This is the common trick of flatigious, belly crawling, eurocentric devils like this fool: ALWAYS TRYING TO DIMINISH AND DOWNPLAY BLACK FOLKS ACHIEVEMENTS, EVEN TO THE EXTENT OF DOWNGRADING THE IMPORTANCE OF SUCH A TECHNOLOGICAL FEAT, BY ASKING A QUESTION, ONLY A CAVEMAN DRENCHED IN HIS OWN IGNORANCE WOULD ASK: “have you or anyone else on this board ever seen one??” Beetleheaded, dimwitted, half-assed, imbecilic bastard-I DON’T HAVE TO SEE ONE, IN ORDER FOR ME TO KNOW THAT WHAT THIS SISTER CREATED WAS THE BOMB, FOOL DEVIL!!!!!!!

Damn you are a dumb funky, eurocentric devil!!!! Muthafucka, again, you just thought you’d bring that to our attention, just because you just had to find something, in order to belittle her accomplishment, even if it were veiled and underhanded.

it sounds an awful lot like holograms.

I posted up:

GRANVILLE T. WOODS

He invented the synchronous multiplex railway telegraph, a device which enable moving trains to communicate with one another, helping to avoid possible accidents.

Whereas he came back with:

-false,

*How so?

The first inventor to patent an induction telegraphy system for communicating to and from moving trains was William W. Smith (US Pat. #247127, Sept 13, 1881).

*That may be the case, HOWEVER, the difference in William W. Smith’s patent, and Granville T. Woods patent, is the fact that woods creation allowed dispatchers to note at a glance the location of any moving trains, as well as the fact that The Woods Induction Telegraph, was a large oblong coil, or helix, was suspended from the train. A current was sent through the helix, generating a magnetic field about the train. When the train moved, the magnetic field moved along with it. The movement of the magnetic coil induced a current in stationary wires hung parallel to the track. Therefore, telegraph signals sent through the helix were also sent through the wires to stations and other trains.

He said:

The first to attain practical success was Lucius Phelps, who patented his railway telegraph in 1884 (#307984) and successfully demonstrated it on the New York, New Haven & Hartford railroad in January of 1885. The feat was hailed in Scientific American on Feb. 21, 1885. At that time Granville Woods hadn't even applied for a patent on, nor had he built, an actual railway telegraph.

My response:

In regards to Woods and his patents, as well as the Lucius Phelps controversy:

Woods's first two electrical inventions dealt with sound transmission. In December of 1884 he was granted a patent for a telephone transmitter, an apparatus that conducted sound over an electrical current. Alexander Graham Bell had already developed a telephonic device almost a decade earlier, but Woods's instrument far surpassed any models then in use, carrying a louder and more distinct sound over a longer distance. The physical properties by which the device operated are still employed in modern telephones. Despite Woods's visionary achievement, patent guidelines dictated that the patent be assigned to a company that had the mechanical and monetary means to manufacture such a device. The patent was assigned to the American Bell Telephone Company.
Less than a year later, Woods was granted a patent for a mechanism he called a "telegraphony," a combination telegraph and telephone, which could transmit both oral and signal messages. Prior to Woods's invention, the telegraph could only send messages over an electrical current utilizing a combination of short and long pulses (commonly referred to as dots and dashes) that represent letters of the alphabet. Developed by Samuel Morse in 1838, this "Morse code," as it came to be known, became the language of the telegraph. It therefore demanded that operators on either end of a telegraphic transmission be fully versed in both Morse code and in the operation of the sending key apparatus.

Woods's invention, however, gave almost everyone, regardless of their knowledge of telegraphs, the chance to send messages. If a person were unfamiliar with Morse code, he simply could flip a switch on the telegraph and speak near the sending key. The message would then be heard on the receiving end as articulate speech. Because of the understandable great demand for such an invention, Woods decided to sell his patent, allowing a larger company to manufacture the device. He was paid generously for the patent by the American Bell Telephone Company.
Over the next 25 years, Woods's inventions were numerous and varied, from an incubator that provided a constant temperature for the hatching of chicks to a series of tracks used by motor vehicles at amusement parks. "Woods also invented an improved system for transferring electric current to street cars," Portia P. James explained in The Real McCoy. "He designed a grooved wheel that allowed the car to receive the electrical current while reducing friction. This wheel, called a troller, is the source of the popular name for a street car, trolley car." Woods held over 35 patents on electromechanical devices, a dozen of which improved the electric railway system. But his greatest invention improved electrical communication between trains.

On November 29, 1887, Woods received a patent for his Induction Telegraph System, also called the Synchronous Multiplex Railway Telegraph. Communication between moving trains and between a moving train and a railroad station had previously been poor. In a telegraph system, a continuous wire must exist between a sending key and a receiving sounder. Ordinary telegraph wires were usually run along railroad tracks, but for a telegraph system to work aboard the train, part of the train had to have been in constant contact with these wires. Because of the jostling movement of trains, most messages sent or received were incomplete. Numerous times, warnings of washed-out bridges, rock slides, and other obstructions failed to reach a train in time. Still other times, trains learned too late--or not at all--of the location of other trains on the same track.

Woods's Induction Telegraph invention changed the course of railway travel, dramatically decreasing the number of lives lost in accidents. To realize his invention, he applied Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction: an oblong coil was suspended beneath a train, and an electrical current was passed through it. In turn, a magnetic field developed around the train. When the train moved, the field moved with it and induced a similar current in the telegraph wires that ran along the tracks, allowing telegraphic messages to be sent and received uninterrupted.
Woods was greatly heralded for this invention, but he received even greater renown when Thomas Edison and another inventor, Lucius Phelps, challenged Woods's rights to the patent, (Woods v. Phelps) claiming in separate legal suits that they each had developed a similar telegraph system before Woods. In both cases, Woods was declared the prior inventor.

Now mind you, I don’t have the particular transcript from this case, but for a black man in the latter part of the nineteenth century, to receive credit for an invention he created, as well as justice, just goes to show me, that despite what patent information you can put up, THERE MUST HAVE BEEN COMPELLING EVIDENCE ON BEHALF OF GRANVILLE WOODS, IN ORDER FOR HIM TO HAVE WON JUDGMENTS AGAINST THOMAS EDISON AND YOUR PRECIOUS LUCIUS PHELPS!!!

I’m sure your precious Lucius Phelps trotted out this 1884 patent of his, but what was the evidence in the case that was brought forth by Woods, that gave Woods an abnormal, against all odds, type of victory, seeing as how it was granted in the nineteenth century!! This black man took down two powerful white men, one of whom possessed a patent!!!!! Explain that devil????

In the end fool, the legalities of patent assignment and regulation did not work to Woods's advantage. The U.S. Government grants patents for any new or useful machine or process or manufacturing method, or for an improvement of any previous machine or process or method. A patent gives its owner, the patentee, the sole right to manufacture, use, and sell that particular invention. Patents are, in a sense, recognized as personal property. If others try to make, use, or sell a patentee's invention, they are guilty of patent infringement and may be sued by the patentee. There are two instances, however, when an inventor may lose his right to a patent for his invention. First, if an inventor does not have enough money to manufacture and market his invention, the patent is then assigned, or sold, to another individual or company that has the necessary capital. Second, the inventor may simply wish to sell his patent outright. In either case, once the patent is assigned to someone else, the inventor gives up all legal and monetary claims to that invention.

And also remember that in later years, he succeeded in selling many to his inventions to some of the country's largest corporations. American Bell Telephone Company bought many of his ideas, as did General Electric and the Westinghouse Air Brake Company.

But before I leave this one angle of the discussion, let me go back and address the statement, where you said concerning the induction telegraph and Lucius Phelps patent date: “At that time Granville Woods hadn't even applied for a patent on, nor had he built, an actual railway telegraph.” Well, just because he didn’t have a patent, from the court case that he won against Edison and Phelps, that ruled in his favor, insofar as him being the true inventor of the “induction telegraph”, doesn’t mean that he didn’t have any patents dealing with telecommunications technology, or for anything else for that matter, neither does it mean that Lucius Phelps patent, in 1884, WASN'T STOLEN FROM AN IDEA BROUGHT INTO FRUITION, BY GRANVILLE T. WOODS!!

But let's get back to Granville T. Woods patents, before and around 1884:

On June 3, 1884, he had a patent for a Steam Boiler Furnace (U.S. 299,894)! And on Dec. 2, 1884, he had a patent for a Telephone Transmitter (U.S. 308,876)!

Also:

“In 1888, Granville T. Woods developed a system for overhead electric conducting lines for railroads, which aided in the development of the overhead railroad system found in cities such as Chicago, St. Louis, and New York City.”

So as you can see, eurocentric slime shit, your views and your attacks upon any of the black INVENTORS AND PIONEERS, I've posted up aren’t estimable, but are the earmarks of a latently racist, white supremacist, eurocentric, pernicious devil, who will search over hill, and high water, in order to attempt the vanquishing and total destruction of the black historical record. But you see horned one, your shit, nor “sleight of hand”, or parrying techniques won’t work on me, because as I’ve said before on plenty of occasions, I’m battle worn and tested-and have seen your type of diablerie on many occasions, therefore rodents like you, who are lower than drops of gnat shit, ARE MY ETERNAL ENEMY!!!
