Who defines a Racist

Unread post by bumperjack » April 28th, 2014, 4:24 pm

Who defines a Racist!?!

First off, let's clarify the terminology. By 'racist' I mean a person who is aware of the reality of human races and racial differences (physical, mental, cultural, and behavioral) – the concept of distinct, proven, scientifically (genetically) defined subspecies of humanity.

The term 'racist' has been used so commonly and stridently as an epithet to denigrate and vilify racially aware White people in recent years that I (and many others) prefer to use the somewhat less tainted word 'racialist.' But they are essentially equivalent, and except for the illegitimate and malevolent misuse of the term racist, either one can be used to describe people who are race conscious (racially aware); those who might be considered 'race realists.'

The word racist does not, by the way and to my way of thinking, equate to definitions of hater, bigot, White supremacist, or Nazi. Those terms – most generally used in a negative and vitriolic sense in ad hominem attacks on those who speak the truth about racial reality – describe, include, or imply other traits, and have no necessary connection – no equivalence, as it were – to 'racism.'

In fact, the term racist has been so perverted, propagandized, and overused in contemporary American discourse that it has just about become the 'mother' of all smear words – second, perhaps, only to the attack-phrase 'anti-Semite.' The usual reaction of the racially unaware when their attention is called to a person accused of being a racist is to be aghast – shocked and disgusted. Of course that is just plain ludicrous to anyone who lives in the world of objective reality, but, as a result of non-stop Jewish, ultra-liberal, and politically-correct conditioning, it is the prevailing mind-set these days.

there is also the possibility of making a "racist comment" without exhibiting the characteristics of a "racist" -

These days I have been trying to stay away from the word "racist" whenever possible because everyone seems to make their own definition for it.

Is a racist someone that is politically incorrect and uses racial slurs whether serious or joking?

Is a racist somebody that has a differing political ideology than yours?

Is a racist somebody that believes their own race to be superior?

Is a racist somebody that doesn't necessarily believe their race is superior but sees race as the number one factor regarding every issue they can think of or somebody who simply isn't "color blind?"

Is a racist somebody that wants to do physical harm towards people of another race, simply out of hatred?

What about somebody who hates another race but has no plan to act out in violence?

Is it racist to be proud of your race?

As you can see, all of the above can and does get labeled racist so for me there's no real reason to use the word to describe someone and their beliefs.

I think that people confuse prejudice with racism. And everybody is prejudice, but that does not mean they are a racist.

A racist is someone who hates another person because of they're race, meaning the color or appearance.

Being prejudice is not liking a person or group of people/ethnicity due to some personal beliefs or standards.

At least that's my understanding.

Well that is the problem. Everyone goes off their own definition for the word. The truth is, the word is used in everyday life to describe a wide variety of people with all kinds of different beliefs and mentalities. At this point, the word is only useful to smear people.

Who you telling. Okay so a couple days ago my husband and I were driving, this car parked on the side of road in same direction decides to bust a Uturn to other side of road, opposite direction. We had to slam on our brakes to not plow into him. Anyways....hubby saw the car parking, decides to go back and tell driver he needs to be more careful. He was polite but stern, starts walking back to our truck when the 2 guys start calling us racist, white devils and some other choice names. Okay wth, why do people feel the need to go there? This had absolutely nothing to do with race. It had to do with them doing something that could have injured someone or themselves for that matter. Anyways my point is, no matter what we do, how nice we are, whether black, white, asian, latino, there is always going to be an instance the race card gets pulled. Its up to us how we react to it. If people stop reacting, it will happen less and less.

Yes very true Christina Marie the race card always will get played because majority of human interaction first is engaging in Verbally assaulting each other, hopefully it dont go further were someone gets hurt bad or gets killed over something as simple as a parking space,These days road rage can also get you killed, it has happened numerous times,So approaching folks these days have to be used with caution you never know what weapon they are packing for protection? I also believe prejudice is more the objective of people than being a Racist, which is preconcieved opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience,A racist is a actual hater of a particular race group or creed,Be more careful christina when out with husband confronts strangers you dont want to become a widow over any dispute of any substance because they all are not worth losing your life over or taking someones life over protecting yours...Im just saying moderator Christina Marie

I am grew up in Long Beach, I know how to act. I live in a eastern college town atm and needles to say it is filled with dumb college kids who don't know how to drive.

I ran pretty hard when I was younger, did all the cool stuff, like you know, dealing dope, running chemicals, going to prison. I have never been shot yet. Had many a gun pointed at me but nobody has pulled the trigger. Must be because I am a sweet talker eh?

Anyways, so ya.....my husband is a bounty hunter, works mostly out of Baltimore which is pretty rough. He is always careful, he always says "I need to come home to my wifey". I still worry of course. Even with his level III body armor, extra plates, I know he can still die as I am not delusional.

Just my $0.02

Growing up in inner city Chicago in the 90's being white, I feel I have a unique perspective on certain things when it comes to race.

Racism in America especially is centered around political correctness.

For example: If 10,000 African American's marched the streets of downtown Chicago, as a show of "black pride", they would be lauded by the media, and praised by the populace as exercising their rights, and being proud of who they are, etc.

Same situation, but with white people marching about "white pride"?

Get ready for a shit-storm. White racists, supremacists, nazi's, hicks, backward, hateful, etc.

Double standard all the way around. Fuck that.
