christians and catholics

my homie told me today that christians couldnt go out with catholics because it was a sin and it to me its the most ridiculous thing i ever heard someone hit me back up on this if this is true because he told me that his priest told him this peace

first of all... catholics are christians. but yeah when it comes to catholics getting married to someone who isnt catholic they have problems with the church. so if your catholic you cant marry someone who isnt unless they become catholic or you dont get married through the catholic church.

They can get married, but the couple has to sign aomething stating that the children will be raised catholic, and the non-catholic will not force his/her views on the catholic. As for it being a sin? I don't see how. Catholics ARE christians. I asked a priest about it and he says the guy's out of line.
