Violence spurs police crackdown on gangs (Fresno, CA): Fresno police are preparing to crack down on gangs after a recent surge of violence in which two men with gang connections were gunned down at an apartment complex. The two men, ages 26 and 30, were not active in a gang but associated with gang members. Family members believe there was an order put out to kill them after they refused to cover for gang members who were arrested on gun charges. The men are two of the 19 people killed in Fresno homicides this year. In 2003, there were 36 homicides. Eight of the 36 were gang-related, an officer said. A captain with the California Highway Patrol estimated there are 6,000 gang members in Fresno and another 6,000 throughout the rest of the county. The city is also seeking a civil injunction to prevent gang members from congregating in a neighborhood, on street corners, or in a car.

Yeah its crazy in Fresno...... They got over 500 gangs in that little city of about 450,000 ppl.

There's one female gang in Fresno called (Fresno Bulldog Babes)! I've seen girl's at Table Mountain a casino in Madera wearing shirt's that had
(X Fresno Bulldog Babes 4) along the lower back-side of their shirt's! If anyone know's of this gang, feel free to comment. I was wondering if
these girl's bang Norte or just claim Bulldog because their shirts where all black with red letters?

U should of asked them dreamergirl....But my guess is that it would be "bulldog" coz thats their middle name.....

BULLDOGS BROKE AWAY FROM NORTE IN THE LATE 80'S EARLY 90'S. THEY FELT THEY WERE STRONG ENOUGH TO STAND ALONE TAX FREE. MOST BULLDOGS STILL WEAR RED, THEY'RE RANKERS.

I was watching A&E Channel on television last night, there was a program called Intervention. The show airs fiends struggling with addiction. On a segment it documented an 42 year old crack head in Modesto California that still lives with his parents. He smokes an 8Ball of Mexican Black Tar Heroin and Cocaine daily. Been bingeing the combination for 7 years and counting.

lets see i havent lived in fresno for 11 years, but i remember gangs: fresno bulldogs, olive bulldogs, pinedale bulldogs, notrero bulldogs, modoc street boys, garret street boys, u-boys. cannot recall rest of the bulldog sets or the rest in west side.

let me break it down for you

we got southsiders, northsiders and bulldogs are the mexicans gangs

theres trg's, asains boys, loas bloods, etc. are the asian gangs

and in Fresno we have bloods and crips but that doesn't matter much out here cuzz we bang blocks and hoods with both crips and bloods in them

on the west side its...many different hoods, some are spin off of other hoods, some are spin offs of several other ally hoods combine, most hoods are apart of a alliance and some are neutral. Theres a couple hoods on both the east side and north side. The North in one big hood and the east is split into two rival gangs.

Twamp Gang includes:

Young Black Soldiers (Pottle Ave.) 700 Blk (A Spin off of Strother/Weller/The Ville/P Block/Lotus...all members are currently 25 or younger)
P-Block Gang(Poppy Ave.) 2200 blk(Poppy and Lorena) to 2500 blk(Poppy and Grove)
Lotus Boys 2300 Blk(Lotus and Florence) to 2400 Blk(Lotus and Grove)
Weller Boys 2300 Blk
Strother Boys 400 Blk
Lee St. Boys 2200 blk
Muhammed Family/Walnut 2400 Blk
Fresno's chapther of the 107 Hoover Crips(they've been around since the mid 80's, theres Hoovers scattered around all over the place but most of them are Muhammeds, P-Block gang members and Lotus Boys)

The Villa is one of the original gangs in Fresno and is the father to most of the twamp gang and are also allies with them but most of the members of the Ville are older and a lot of there yg's bang blocks that are around the Ville(Poppy, Lotus, Weller, YBS, Lee St.) which is a housing project. These hoods have always been connected(besides the Muhammeds who joined because of there strong relationship with the grove side of Lotus and Poppy). the hoods share family in the other hoods so they've always been connected.
