i was cruising through GG, and saw SMC tagged up around a few neighborhoods as i cruised through my cousins house. anyone kno whose hood tag this is? any help is appreciated.

I didn't see Crow Village in there, anybody know if Folks outta buena park/anaheim(not sure) are still around? Cypress Flats definitely used to be around I knew an OG from there named Spider, they no longer exist, for awhile they beefed with Hawaiin Gardens, than became friends, this was like back in the early 80's, but no doubt Cypress Flats is old school(cypress,CA). I used to live right across the street that seperated HG from Cypress(dividing line between LA and OC in that area).

Lone Wolf you wanted to know about where Barrio Pobre's from, well there commonly called B. Pobre at least when they hit up walls, and this was years ago but there from near buena park area, I went to OrangeView school and they started around that area. As far as are they connected to Long Beach B. Pobre, I doubt it, LB is apart of LA county and buena park is OxC'n it.Not written in stone but you know what I mean. BR

I came across this LA Times article from 1993. It lists some active gangs in OC during that time period. Not all gangs active at the time are included. And some of the gangs on here are now defunct.

Oddly enough a lot of those hoods are still active or, at the very least, still around but lack in numbers.

Looks like the majority of those on the list which are inactive or straight defunct are either Asian or Black(as in C and B), a lot of those crip and blood hoods in the OC fell out right around that time because a lot of them were mixed black and mexican, many having a majority of mexican members, which obviously became quick to be frowned upon right around the time the list was made.

Panik is right.. though Calle and St is generally interchangeable in terms of voicing their gang, in the tattoos and the initials some of them go by are ST. For example GoldenWest St is GWst, never CGW. Highland Street is HST, I've never seen it CH... and many more.
