That list I found includes 35 gangs in Tulare county, but the Sheriff's Department claims that there are 120 gangs in Tulare County. Are there 85 Black, Asian and White gangs in Tulare County? or are the Sheriff's Department exaggerating their gang problem?

A. Facts.

Visalia Police Officer Luma Fahoum gave expert gang testimony for the People.   She testified about the history and identifying symbols of the Nortenos criminal street gang.11  Their main rival is “the southerners, or the Surenos, which identify with the color blue and 13.”   There are “roughly 1500” Norteno gang members in Tulare County.   She testified the “Norteno criminal street gang is comprised of predominately Hispanic males, some females.   They identify with the color red for north, Number 14 for the letter N in the alphabet, again for north.”   Norteno related graffiti is usually red and includes “Roman numeral X4, four dots, 14, the Number 4, ‘north’ or ‘Norte,’ you'll find the letters S crossed out like a dollar sign to pay an insult to the rival gang ․ nicknames or monikers․”  When asked “what are the primary activities of northern criminal street gangs,” Officer Fahoum responded:  “sually starts somewhere in the area of vandalism, theft, burglary, auto theft, moves up to drug sales, drive-by shootings, assault with deadly weapon, possession of a firearm, murder, attempt[ed] murder.”   Officer Fahoum testified about three predicate offenses committed by active Nortenos:  (1) an assault with a deadly weapon committed by appellant in August 1999; 12  (2) a drive-by shooting committed by Hector Mendoza in July 2001;  and (3) possession of methamphetamine for sale committed by Danial Nava in May 2003.

Probably most of those are legitimate, with some misinformation. I think vst is in Visalia and Oriental Troops. Just noticed them under "other gangs", but I think in Visa or at least mostly there to be specific. Never heard of Woodlake being called Woodie, but rather Woodlone. Find some of the list questionable, especially a police list of gangs. I was thinking Tablas was somewhere else, but I think Tablas is actually another name for that town.

Asian gang wise, Oriental Troops is most known in Tulare County or in Visalia.

Mongolian Boys Society is a Hmong gang straight came from Fresno. When some members moved to Visalia, they started recruiting but not only were they recruiting Hmong kids, they were recruiting Mien and Lahu kids as well.

Lahu has a major population in Visalia although it's not much compared to others, it's visibly enough.

MBS then branched off a new gang called the Lahu Pride Crips, which came out of MBS and was based on the 'Lahu' version of the MBS gang.

So to say, MBS and LPC are closely affiliated but they also work with OT due to the fact that they all represent the color blue in Visalia and have common enemies around the area.

There's a also another Asian gang call Mien Brotherhood. Not much is known except that they claim red, opposed from the blue worn by the other Asian gangs around the area, and that they are rival with the OTs.

In Tulare County its Strathmore (Strafas) and in Kings County there is Stratas (Stratford). Both towns area Norteno.

You're right, forgot to add WST14-West Side Tula on the list. TCN is basically what all Tulare County Nortenos claim and write when they tag. I think the Nortenos that claim Campo X4 are in the area called Campo Linnell. That's between Visa and Farmersville. The other Campo gang is the ones that claim VCL13-Varrio Campo Linnell.

There is no Brown Pride Sureños in Seville, some kids passing through tagged around town. The only gang in Seville is VSL Varrio Seville Lokos X4
There has never been a southern gang based in Seville....ever.
