Anyways... Groups like: The Whispers, Midnight*Star, Dazz Band, The Time, Kool & the Gang, Timex Social Club those type groups from the late 70's to late 80's, nothing too commerical because I probably already know it... (specific songs.)

Most Sac rappers are from the South Side, Meadowview in particular. Oak Park traditionally hasn't got along with Meadowview, so that explains them not buying their music. Oak Park pretty much listened to the bay as long as I can remember. The 415, Richie Rich, MC Pooh, Short, The Click, that's all you heard in the late '80s and early '90s, when I was around there.

Yes. Brothas are having more of an influence on Nortenos youngsters in San Jo/South Bay and I also believe the Valleys to the South these days. but... not as much as the Bay Area to the North or Sac from what I hear. San Jo/South Bay has always been kind of disconnected from the Bay Area up North. What I mean by disconnected is... that, from SJ on down to Salas and on to the Valleys to the South. it has always been heavily populated by Mexicans. therefore, having more of a Chicano influence. From Cesar Chavez and the UFW's to the Lowrider scene. And... Yes, age is also a factor on Nortenos influences, because regardless of where you go in NorCal Veteranos are straight up Chicano...

I'm also pretty sure San Jo really doesn't have any Black Neighborhoods. Inclosing, the Bay Area to the North and Sac. have established Black Neighborhoods so Mexicans there hybrid their Chicano Culture together with the Brothas more so. so, usually but not always Nortenos there have more of an Brothas influence then SJ or Valleys Nortenos to the South...

back in around 97-98 i went to chaffey west, a continuation school in ontario, at the time there was a gang of foos from onterio going there and a couple from sgv and la, but there was always guys coming and going, but 2 brothers came to the school, there were hit up, like everyone that comes through is, they said they grew up in ontario but not from any neighborhood, one day the class went to play football at the park, we were playing for a while and one of the brothers took off his shirt, i guess he forgot he had tatts but he had sacra X4 on his back, when somebody noticed they confronted him and he was like i dont bang anymore and all that shit, but the foos took off on his ass and other foos rushed his brother and they beat the shit out of these foos, there was only one teacher and she didnt know what to do, but cops came and took foos away and the cops escorted the brothers back to class and then took them away, i dont where, prolly home but they never came back but thats the only time ive seen or heard norte in so cali.....
