Macedonian police yesterday along with customs crossing Kafasan seized 513 pounds of high quality marijuana known as "skank".
This is the largest amount of marijuana ever seized in Macedonia. Action called "Ambush" was smashed an international drug smuggling channel relations between Albania and Macedonia, and seized "skank" should be completed in Western Europe.
According to police action "Ambush" was conducted after previous operational knowledge for possible transport marijuana through Macedonia. The drugs were seized around 12 pm, when it was made control of the truck and its accompanying passenger car, both with Skopje license plates. The truck was loaded with cement, but with a detailed review of both the truck and the vehicle were escorted found specially constructed bunkers that housed 511 drug packages.
It is assumed that the drug was purchased from Albania via Macedonia should be transported to Western Europe.
Police arrested the driver, who under interrogation refused to say from where and from whom he bought the drugs. The truck driver told only that the cargo vehicle left the people that knew not, and after loading it only downloaded the truck.
According to initial estimates, value of marijuana Western narkopazari is about 3 million.
The driver of the truck with the initials DS previously been known to police as a perpetrator of property offenses, but was first caught in drug trafficking.
