Yeah it is known that Mexican soldiers are getting into the cartels as hitmen, in the past 6 years about 150,000 Mexican soldiers deserted the Mexican military allegedly working for the cartels. Here is a footage of Gulf Cartel members dressed similarly as Mexican soldiers interrogating 4 Zeta hitmen.

Here is a shoot out between the Gulf Cartel hitmen and Mexican soldiers:

"REYNOSA MEXICO .. the bloody confrontation between mexican soldiers and gulf cartel hitmen broke out about 01:00 AM local officials confirmed 3 soldiers and 3 gulf cartel members died during the shooout officials said the attack involved a well armed group that sprayed bullets with AK 47 s AND AR 15 s and detonated about 30 grenades ."

Here is another video of about 25-30 "sicarios"(hitmen) block a road and kill 9 people in a house:

"This is a video of sicarios in Creel with weapons in hands without any intervention from police. They woud kill 9 members of a family before leaving the town."(The funny thing is that an Mexican military base and federal agent station was close by)

Shootout between federal agents and Cartel hitmen carrying grenade launchers and assault rifles:

Yep i've noticed that the Cartel hitmen kinda look like insurgents from the middle east?

Here what I found interesting in this photo you will see one of the most dangerous hitmen from the drug cartels either from the Zetas or Gulf Cartel in Mexico working as bodyguard for the governor of Tamulipas state, Eugenio Hernandez. The hitmen, Ismael Marino Ortega Galicia, was born in May 13, 1974 and is considered one of the most dangerous hitmen in the Mexican drug cartels.

Here's the picture of him on a most wanted list:

Now here is the ex-governer of Tamulipas(same state) and his colleagues killed by organized crime(drug cartels):
