Mc Eiht was the dude with the curls. He was the driver and he pulled out the Eagle.

Hey, this is one of my favorite gangsta movies. I don't think that it mentioned gangs one because it was in the mindset of Kane. It was showing his inner struggle to become something that he is not. That is all he saw and knew so that is all he thought he had to become, you know. When u pay attention to the story line it focuses mainly on Kane. He didn't know whether or not he wanted to live or die, until at the end when everything caught up with him...he began to heed to his grandfathers words. Therefore, I don't think that the writers wanted to focus on gangs because it would have taken away from the real meaning of the movie.

Menace is probably my fav. westcoast gangsta movie. It wasn't really focused around gangs but just kids who were caught up in crime. He made some bad decisions and it caught up to him in the end.

There is a mistake in the movie. In the beginning when they rob the chinese shop. When o'dogg says too the chinese woman to bring him the tape, you can see the filmcrew in the mirror reflection walking behind o'dogg. That took away the realisme off the movie for me!!Besides that, it is a good movie.

Yeah, Menace was the shit. It was kinda sad how Caine got blasted at the end. And MC Eiht did a good job on "Streiht Up Menace", shit narrarates the movie.

Tuco's answer :

Boyz'n The Hood and Menace II Society are two films that complete each other. The backdrop of Boyz is put in the forefront in Menace. Boyz tells the story of a group of teenagers who begins to be a men, and the backdrop of South Central gives a strong dynamic to this story. It levels the stakes, dramatically speaking. Menace tells a different story : It's mainly about the perdition of a neighborhood which badly influences the way of life of a group of young men. Ok, they're two different movies, but they both speak the same language. I can't say that one is better than the other, because I saw them both as powerful urban dramas who delivers the same strong message : "End the Violence and Increase the peace"...
