Next Friday, Friday after Next, Saturday, Next Saturday, The Saturday after the Friday before Next Saturday, are all industry attempts to cash in on the cult following of the original Friday.

And, the only reason the original Friday had a cult following is because the movie spoke to not only the hood, but whites as well.

And, the only reason the movie broke all barriers is because it was entirely written by Ice Cube, entirely directed by F. Gary Gray, both from South Central, and both also know how to intrigue the white audience that takes an interest in the hood.

Plus, the cast was entirely selected by Gray and Cube. The movie was just pure comedy. They didn't reach out and try anything corny. They just kept it simple.

The sequels have been directed by industry directors, that have re-written most of Ice Cubes respective scripts for each sequel. So, that's why they suck.
