Yo, all I really know about Houston is the rap scene. Did banging come later on because I never hear about rapper's down there's gang affiliations, if they even have any. It seems like yall got so many dude spitting on the mic, ONE OF EM must be banging.

And do gangs have specific neighborhoods or is it all spread out?

Banging in Houston is pretty old, when I was in elementary school in 85-90 there were already huge Mexican and Black gangs on my side of town all there lil brothers would hip me on to the shit when I was a lil kid...gang scene been jumping atleast since the mid 80s if not farther back than that.

Gotta remember Houston even back in the 1950's had the largest Black population of all cities in the South not percentage but definitely in numbers...even more than Atlanta, 1/4 of the population of 5 million people is Black in Houston might be more than that....Hispanic population always been deep as hell in Houston and Texas in general, Mexicans are the majority in Texas...gotta remember didnt Texas Syndicate form in a California pen back in the late 70s or early 80s? Alot of ppl dont believe it but Houston goes way back in this street and gang thing....as for rappers the main ones repping for Houston (paul wall, lil flip, mike jones, chamillionaire) they are'nt really gangsters they are just hood kats who rap...but Face and J Prince...they are the real thing without a doubt from the word on the streets.

lots of Crips and Bloods but they do the 5 and 6 point thing MOSTLY I have met some 60's, 30's, 5-2's and GSWC's that didnt do the 5 and 6 and claimed to be from Cali or started by someone from LA they are a minority though compared to the other C and B gangs

The Peoples and Folks are real down here, all Folks are connected to Chi except for the Crip spinoff gangs and gangs like LRZ Folks..they bang Folks but in reality they just do it to claim allegiance to a side. Latin Kings are connected to the NY Latin Kings I believe..not 100 percent on that but they do have a connection to out of state Kings...No VL's or BPS's in Houston from what I have seen with my own eyes.

A few houston rappers have claimed sets, Z-Ro and Trae 52 Hoover, Point Blank is a blood, 3-2 claims GD.

i was chilin outside my house yesterday and a bunch of niggaz were posted chillin, drinkin w.e...where i live at the area is suppose to be crip area...everybody dresses in blue and shit like that ..well the crips do..
