There wasnt no 8ball, The 8 ball is some big ass myth homie.....The 8 ball was made for the fact folks and crips both wear blue so they linked up ....alot of people think it was ny who made the 8ball, but it really was the south....then spreaded the 8 ball bs in the city....that didnt even last long.

Alot of sets repped(past tense) the 6 point star cause the bloods out here was repping the 5 point star-like the latin kings and the vice lords that are out here.

what exactly do you mean buy changing the rules?My set knows the differance between crip and folk.we was 8 balling and if people overstand that in certain areas it was like thaT BUT THEY KNEW THE DIFFERANCE.I just came home from up north and half of the homies wasn't even representing and the ones who was,was 8 balling.

I think he means that when you start mixin with the folk/people shi-, you stop being a crip/blood. You can't be both. Being half crip and half folk makes about as much sense as being part blood and part crip. You need to pick one and stick with it. If you wanna make something new, then do that. Be original and start your own thing, don't just take parts of different sets and put 'em together and call it real. that's just bitin LA and Chicagos style. Make up your own east coast or southern hoods.

Damn this stuff is crazy.

Aight, as far as I know, that 8ball thing started in St. Louis around 1990. It was NEVER accepted in Chicago or L.A., and it was 'broken' almost as soon as it started.

Now, almost 15 years later, that stuff's all over the place.

What Cali and Chi-town brothers got to understand is that what's LEGIT ain't always what's STREET. I know that GD'z ain't got stuff to do with C'z, but if you get locked up with a bunch of 8ballin GD'z and you start talkin bout "fukk some crabs" - that might be your azz.

The further away you get from Cali & Chi, the faker the stuff tends to get, so even if you're real and you know the business, you still gotta watch yourself. Ten copycat Crips with heaters can light that azz up, no matter where they're from.
