I always see these guys in the movies. Are there any real French crews operating in the US or Canada?

In Quebec there is tons and tons and tons of french canadian gangsters that make up the hells, bandidos, dubois, independent criminals, west end gang and associates of the mob. That is about as close you get in Canada.

I don't think there are any actual French crews operating, there are French mobsters living in the US who are probably involved in white collar crime and other big time shit but I don't think they actually have their own crews, it's just a few individuals

French Gangsters is just weird, the criminal jean francois , its the same as a wasp gangster, of course theyre gonna be some but no way tough. When all they workin class neighbourhoods and slums are full of black inmigrants arab inmigrants .

I was talking about the US, not France - there's easily as much organized crime in France as in Italy

The French mob plays a very heavy role in cocaine trafficking in Europe, they're quite close to the Colombians and to the Calabrian Ndrangheta.

They're also pretty heavily involved in white collar crime.

As far as "wasp gangsters" not being tough, you're obviously not talking about the English "firms" of the East End/Essex, although they've got more into white collar crime and scams and not as much into street level shit with all the immigrants and foreign mobs moving into London. However they still count for something on the street level of OC even if it's not what it was 20-30 years ago. In the US however their presence is minimal and confined to white collar stuff. They do have a definite presence in southern Spain though
