Montreal had the Expos but were moved to Washington.

Vancouver had the Grizzlies but were moved to Memphis.

Attendance in both cities were good, not great but decent for how bad the teams were at the time. The Grizzlies are a better team now but the attendance in Memphis is less than that of when they played in Vancouver.

I wonder if cities like Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa will get major professional teams other than hockey in the future since they are decent markets and have a metro population of over 1 million.

The NBA will never return to Canada. Other than Toronto, I don't think Canadians support american dominated sports...other than hockey.

disagree, the NBA will back in the Canada, it is just a matter of logistics, expansion, and capital, but it is profitable to be in CANADA. Most important thing is an arena to play in. That is why Los ANgeles, the second largest market has no NFL team, ...no stadium, but that will change soon too.
