YOU STILL BORROW CLOTHES?

Unread post by Lonewolf » January 6th, 2005, 9:36 pm

I remember when we (homeboys) used to to borrow lisas (shirts) and tramos (pants) from each other to expand our wardrobe. It was a natural thing to do during the school years.

I was wondering if that still hapens with you all?

I know it may be embarrassing, "but we don't know you", so its ok to speak up.

Its all in confidence

Shoes, Jackets, Hats, Chains, Girlfriends…
Standard for younger dudes to do that. After a certain age it’s like “get your own shit!” though.

Is not like you wore them all dirty and sh*t.

You took them home, cleaned them, creased them, and then wore them.

Maybe its just me from my poor days, but we did it all the time.

My jefita didn't have the feria to be buying me all those things we buy our young ones today.

Them were hard times, you worked your ass in the summer with your uncles or you pooled with your Homeboys.

We didn't have a business like many do today.

The most was barely enough to have some left for smoking during P.E. or ditching parties. A lil bit here and lil bit there, thats all.

Everybody shared, just like the ride to school, sometimes your a*s didn't get up early enough, therefore the ride got filled up and left, and you had to walk yourself to school (by the way - grab a weapon while you were walking).

It wasn't no big thing, It was the norm THATS MY OLD SCHOOL

That was a long time ago. I would roll and end up places I never intended to be at borrowing, buying, and taking what I needed as I went. Following the whirlwind. Well those days are long gone.

When I was growing up, I never had my own clothes. The way it worked was whenever an older sibling or cousin would out grow somthin, it got passed down to the next kid. That was completely normal. They were decent clothes, but you knew that about 6 months ago they belonged to the next biggest kid.

I remember one time, I got this badass harley davidson shirt. I was like 12. And it belonged to my older cousin, which is where most my clothes came from, since he was the next older than me. Anyway, he f*ckin loved that shirt and his mom, my aunt, gave it to me without telling him. We were at the bus stop and he comes up like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY SHIRT YOU LITTLE SHIT!!??" It didnt even fit him anymore, it would have looked like some queer ass gymnist shirt on him.
He kicked my ass anyway. lol I think he still has it, which is sad cause hes about 28 now.
